ThinkPad W530 - faulty CPU regulators?
    by yuii
    Hello
I've got two W530 boards, one with K1000M and one with K2000M graphics card. The first one had an issue of turning off under heavy CPU load after about 30 minutes or in idle. GPU load wasn't causing it to shut down. Trying to turn it back on would only make the power LED to come up for about 2 seconds without fan spin or thinklight flash, and that's it. It also wasn't charging the battery after it died.
Gently pressing the laptop in left upper corner would fix this problem for a couple of days.
The latter is completely dead and has the same 2-second power blink, nevermind...

    Dell 2007FPb with 4 buck step-down regulators
    by seweryn
I have monitor Dell 2007FPb. It was working good. Some day it was shut off and stay dead.
I checked some voltages on the boards. I read this thread:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=335335
and very usefull budm posts ( thanks buddy, it was great work ... ).
My damage was typical: 3A fuse burned and ZD701 diode was shorten.
So my board is in few points different than other described in citing thread. On my board are 4 buck converter regulators. Apart regulators 3.3V (Q6), 5V (Q14), 12V (Q9), is ther fourth, build on MOSFET Q2. Two TL1451 has together...

Texas Instruments TPS51427ARHBT TPS51427ARHBR Dual D-CAP Synchronous Step-Down Controller for Laptop Computers
    by Document Archive
The TPS51427A TPS51427ARHBT TPS51427ARHBR are dual synchronous step-down controllers designed for laptop and mobile communications applications. This device is part of a low-cost suite of notebook power bus regulators that enables system designs with low external component counts.

The TPS51427A includes two pulse-width-modulation (PWM) controllers, SMPS1 and SMPS2. The output of SMPS1 can be adjusted from 0.7V to 5.9V, while the output of SMPS2 can be adjusted from 0.5V to 2.5V. This device also features a low-dropout (LDO) regulator that provides a 5-V/3.3-V output, or adjustable...

Help identifying SOT-23-5 regulator marked BFCV on Lucky Miner LV06
    by Geosphere
    Hello,

I’m trying to repair a Lucky Miner LV06 Bitcoin miner that was given to me.
It looks like someone plugged 12 V into the 5 V rail and fried the three small adjustable regulators.

Each regulator is a SOT-23-5 package, all marked “BFCV.” I can’t find any datasheet or reference to that code. The regulators appear to generate 3.3 V (for ESP32), 1.8 V, and ~0.8 V (for the BM1366 ASICs), set by resistor dividers?.

    From tracing the PCB:

    Pin 1 (red) → 5 V in

    Pin 2 > GND

    Pin 3 (yellow) > output ...
