Hello i had some trouble with a Panasonic LCD TV a few months back and after a lot of trying i figured out that doing a factory hard reset cured the problem. The TV originally wouldn't come on and kept flashing it's red LED.
PANASONIC TX-LR32C3
Panel: VVX32H100G00
PSU: TNPA5361AA4P
Main: TNP8EA112
I used the following reset sequence:
Turn the TV off.
Hold the F button and Vol- button on the side. Then hold the power button (also on the side).
Wait for 3-10 seconds for the backlight to come on.
The TV has worked for perhaps a couple of months since doing the reset but now the problem is back. Would replacing the two EEPROM ic's that this set has be a sensible step to take? I have various programmers that im sure support these chip models.
IC's are: 24С16, 24С32
I'm not 100% sure why there are two or what each ones purpose is but i'm guessing that when you tell the TV to factory reset, one or more of these chips has their data cleaned up/settings wiped? Would it be logical to think that maybe one of these has failed causing regular corruption?
or any other ideas? Help much appreciated.
Thanks,
James.
