Panasonic TC-P65GT50 8 LED blink failure

As the title indicates, I own a Panasonic TC-P65GT50 that just started experiencing an 8 LED blink failure mode.

    I have performed initial troubleshooting.

    1. When I remove the connection between the SS board and A board the TV powers fine with no flashing LEDs.

    2. I checked the continuity on the plasma panel and the SS/SS2 boards and the resistance between pin 1 and pin 2 on all the connectors ~ 0.3 ohms.

    3. I removed the SS board and have inspected and have not found any visual issues.

    4. I found D051, D052, D053, D041, D042 are shorted. The markings on the top of the package say RFUH20/NS35/1234AW/008. I am wondering if it is worth ordering these ICs and replacing them or would you just order a new SS board?

SS board = TNPA5648 and not having much luck finding a replacement since the TV is 6 years old.

How did you check these? Was it the tab to one of the legs or across the legs?

It was across the legs....pin1 to pin3.

go back and do it tab to leg, leg to leg will always be short on these. You can clearly see the legs of 051-053 are all soldered to one solid piece of copper track. And the same applies to 041,042

            Q101 , 103 are either shorted?(RCJ300N20)

I just checked the datasheet for RFUH20 diodes and the legs are tied together. The leg-to-tab connections are not shorted on the diodes.

Q101 ~25M between leg and tab, ~46.7k between legs.
Q102 ~ 500k between leg and tab, ~46.7k between legs.

Do you happen to have a schematic for this board?

no, but you could try a download of the TC-P60GT50 which would do for the most part. don't be surprised if you can't enlarge it claerly.

So you've checked all transistors on this and none shorted?

It would appear these boards are around.

I'd be tempted to get this one and add the capacitor if you are really stuck.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                  by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                  After all of...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                  by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

Hello Friends, i am having this model Panasonic TH-L32C30D, suddenly when i switch on, it went on One Blink, after looking at the service manual it says Backlight_SOS, I can see the menu on the tv screen for few seconds in the dark with the help of flashlight Before it goes into blinking cycle.
I was having a backup P-Board which i replaced it and now its working fine, but i need to repair my faulty P-Board, as now its getting dificult to find any type of spares of this model, so can any friend who is master in Panasonic Repair, be kind enough to guide me or tell me which component should...
