Sorry if this was answered somewhere else in the forum. I had a horizontal line, about 3/4" wide appear on my 2013 Sharp panel. It starts about 1/3 of the way down from the top left and spans across the screen from left to right, gradually fading before it hits the right side of the panel. The TV is past warranty. Additionally, a recent development is the 2 long blink, 5 short blink problem. Lots of turning off then on finally gets the panel to work, albeit with the horizontal line. Are these two problems related? I've attached a picture of the line. Thanks in advance for any help.

can you please share the Service manual? so i can take a look at it. -
Re: Sharp LC-70C7500U- horizontal line
your problem is a "standard panel fault". it is not fixable but the set can be saved. lots of posts with similar sets and good saves. search and read as the save is a one way path requiing the removal of tabs along the failed side.Comment

Had this happen to a 70 inch Sony already. That's the only TV that I know that has failed. This is the one that it is listed on my YouTube channelDid I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Re: Sharp LC-70C7500U- horizontal line
as suggested Freakaftr8, your problem isn't from a removal... you / it hasn't got there yet... :-)
Anyways, when you look at the tabs along the side in question, you may / will see that the one in "proximity" to the line has an issue such as heat markings or hot to touch compared to others. As suggested, read up on a few threads to get an idea of what you are up against and decide on your best path forward. Personally, the 70 set that I saved for my neighbor is now almost 2.5 years older since the save and the neighbor still smiles every time I see him.Comment

by IhandyrepairHi guys
I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.
never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the... -
by cubytusHi to all,
I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.
I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.
Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...1 Photo01-10-2024, 01:26 AM -
by StrudulI have a strange problem that appeared suddenly on my SHARP LC-60LE741E 60” LCD television. It has 22 evenly spaced horizontal grey stripes over the entire area of the screen. The stripes only effect dim areas of an image. Blacks are still purely black, and anything brighter than 40% is unaffected. Bright outdoor scenes are fabulous. Dark low contrast scenes ... like all CGI on Netflix are unbearable. It's like your looking through dirty venetian blinds. The grey bars appear above any slightly dark colors. If you look closely, you'll see that there are white pixels mixed in with the correct...
