I've been having issues with the backlights failing on this particular model. When these backlights fail (one backlight failure on a strip), the srip will start flashing on and off. I will replace the individual backlights that are defective, test for a day or two, then sell it, only to have it come back within a few weeks with another failed backlight. Is this model known for this backlight issue and is there a fix for it. These particular models keep coming back for the same problem. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Just saw your reply, Andrew. Thanks for your help. Actually I have turned down the backlight level on each tv I replace the individual LED's in but that doesn't seem to help. I just recently started to replace all LED strips in these particular models. For some reason, the backlights seem to fail prematurely in this model. I have many other model Vizio's that don't have any backlight issues, just this particular model. I was wondering if this is a known problem with this model. Thank you for your help!

I find Vizio in general suffer from backlight problems. I modify power supply on Vizio. Just adjusting backlights will not really help if you give it to someone else and you cannot control what they do. I have measured current to backlights. And it measures around 430ma at full brightness. Max ratings seem to be about 350ma on these led's. I haven't measured current on other makes that don't suffer led failure. Reducing max. current to around 280-300ma makes me more confident that led's will last.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.
