Samsung UN55H7150 LED TV - Powers on, loads SmartTV logo, then goes black

I'd love to repair my old Samsung UN55H7150 LED TV to pass it on to my grandma. Her vision is worsening, and this would be a nice upgrade over her 24" tube TV in her bedroom.

About a year ago, the TV would randomly loop the "Smart TV" startup logo. I'd power on the TV, and as the "Smart TV" logo would load, the TV would power off / on and this would repeat for a random extended period of time. This would last anywhere from a few minutes to 15+ minutes, until it would completely power on and continue to work fine until it was turned off. This issue lasted for a couple of months.

Eventually that stopped and it started to just load the "Smart TV" logo once and then the TV would go black. At that point the light at the bottom is red, and it won't react to any buttons being pressed, and won't power off until the unit is unplugged.

I'm a newbie, but I'm assuming that one of its' boards went bad. Anyone know which board is the culprit? Or suggestions on ways to diagnosis and confirm which one is causing the problem?

Here's a link to a video of what it's currently doing and photos of the boards.

Thanks for any suggestions and help,
    Danny

We need pictures showing all the boards and how they are connected together, that will be a start.
Do you have DMM to make Voltage, resistance testing?

This info indicating there is problem with the main board.

Thanks for the reply. The link in the original post has a wide photo of the layout of the boards and then closeup photos of each board separately.

Yes, my stepdad does. He'll be able to help me. I have a neuromuscular disability that causes limited mobility, but I should be able to guide him through it with some instructions. What did you have in mind?

A couple of people in a Facebook group that I posted in thought the same. I'm hoping there's a way to confirm, or at least make it seem pretty sure it's the main board, prior to ordering a new one.

      Thanks again!

Open it, unplug the wifi dongle and retest, if the same unplug bluetooth module then retest.

Those were the first things I tried upon opening it a several weeks ago, but I may try again. A few people have suggested it.

If you have already tried my suggestion it's unuseful that you redo it..

I had this tv set, stuck at the 'SMARTTV' screen with coloured logo. Impossible to find the original Smart Tech firmware, so i searched in kazmielec.tech some firmware compatible with the tv-set hardware (CV338H-T42 card and Y400HJ6.PE1 screen). The firmware i tried was wrong and it bricked the TV, just showing a black screen and not entering stand by anymore. I supposed it needed special hardware to reflash the NAND, but i was wrong, it just needed a working compatible firmware. Still in the kazmielek page i tried ' CV338H-T42_1920x1080_Telefunken TF-LED43S81T2' and it finally worked. I wrote...

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video
                  by JaquesPratt
I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

Vizio M60-C3 powers on, perfect logo, turns off
                  by ossroy
Vizio M60-C3 powers on, perfect logo, turns off. If you don't touch anything it will repeat this process by itself until it is unplugged. Not the "button board" since I disconnected the cables to the main board and the problem persisted. So I'm fairly positive something is going on with the main board, but want to know if there is a fix for this other than replacing the expensive mainboard, which may eventually have the same problem. Also, heat sink was hot as hell when this all started. Unplugged for a few days and same thing happens.

                  Bios splash/logo change
                  by Verlengsnoer
                  Hi all,

at firs, i hope this is the right place to post my question.

Im looking for a tool to change the bios logo.

everyone knows when you turn on your laptop/pc you will see the manufacturer logo like lenovo, hp, dell...

i know that HP has a build in option to change the splash logo.

but i want to change the manufacturer logo to an own logo.

I try'd Change Logo 5.0, but when i make a backup of an laptop and edit the logo and flash the editted version back on the laptop the logo diddnt change.
