    Lg 60pn5000-ua

    When this set was brought to me, it would not turn on. I replaced the main board and plugged the set in, it then immediately came on after the relay on the power supply clicked. There was an orange banner (please tell me what this is if you know) across the top of the screen that said something about power but due to my excitement that the set was on I ignored it and moved on to trying to change the inputs. I didn't have the remote so I was using the keypad on the left side of the set to select volume, channel, etc...each time I selected an input it highlighted and I was unable to "un" highlight them. I turned the set off thinking that would reset the selected inputs but when I turned it on again I got nothing but an all white screen (BTW it was an all white screen when the orange banner was onscreen too).

    The Tcon flashes one long one short twice before repeating the code.
    The VS voltage is 203.
    The VA voltage if 55.
    The 15V that goes from the Zsus to the Ysus is 17.87

    Please help!

    It would be helpful to post pictures. You say what Va and Vs are but not if they agree with the voltages given on the panel sticker.

    You could try and run the Ext_Auto_Gen by disconnecting the ribbon cable to the mainboard and bridging the two holes under R651 & R652 and see if you have the test patterns displayed.
    Willing to help but I'm no expert.

      Yes, the Va and Vs do match what is on the label on the panel. As to pictures, there is nothing to show but a white screen. I did disconnect the ribbon cable to the mainboard and got a black screen. Jumpered R651 and R652 on the Tcon but got nothing other than the black screen I already had.

          VS = 203.2
          VA = 55.06
          VSB = 115.8
          VSC = 149.4
          PS_On = 5.133

            At what rate (on/off) is the led blinking on the control board. The one with the pins you jumped.

                @Andrew F. Ali - There is a Tcon

                Dick, the flash is long (slow) short (fast) long short, it does this twice then repeats.

                  Hmmm....must be a new design I am unaware of in my 45yrs of electronics. That would be the LOGIC CONTROL Bd and NOT a T-CON Bd. T-CON Bds are associated with LCD TVs, my friend.

                      So all the voltages match what's given on the panel. Disconnecting the cable from the control board to the mainboard and jumping the EXT_AUT_GEN does not display a picture. However, while running that test is the screen still white and does the power stay on while testing.
                      If so it may well be the control board needing to be replaced.

                        The screen is black when the ribbon cable from the "logic board" to the main board is disconnected. When running the test the screen is black. The power does stay on while testing.

                          I would try the $12 logic control board from shopjimmy or find a cheaper one on e bay.

                                    Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

                                    My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

                                    This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                                    by reformatt
                                    Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

                                    It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

                                    Hi,

                                    I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

                                    Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
                                    I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...
