I put a new Main Board in this set and now the picture is upside down. I looked all through the settings to see if there was a flip feature but nothing in menu or remote. Couldn't find the service menu code for this Tv either. Anybody else have this problem with Sharp Tv?
Okay, called Sharp(Hisense ass wipes) and they were no help at all. They took 10 minutes to get all the information and then told me they didn't know how to fix the problem. It's a 2015 model and they can't even get the correct board for me. Union and Encompass don't carry it either. My guess it's one of those version specific throw away Tv's made by Hisense in Mexico. They couldn't even get me into the service menu either. Sounds like the customer service is outsourced to India, typical Wal Mart crap.
Try search for panel datasheet, sometimes there's a line that pulled high or low makes the video like yours. If not the datasheet at least tv schematics or SM.
I tried to find the service manual but no luck. At least I know it's something on the Main board because I had a beautiful picture with the replacement and I pulled the voltages off the new board and they were near identical on the bad board so I'm going to take a close look at the t-con and other voltages on the main. I'm missing something, just can't pin it down. I can rule out the backlights and panel too. As soon as Sharp asked me if I was a authorized service center they kicked me to the curb right before transferring me to a service tech. Hisense bs
It's normal for a mainboard to be mounted on several models, some of them have the tcon in a different pisition so your ma.bo. was in tv with tcon in the other side, you have 3 choices, reload firmware for the right model then do a factory reset, to do this you can go on s.menu and reset, or unplug the ac cord, put a metallic needle between pin 5,6 of the biggest eeprom on ma.bo, then plug ac cord ( reset done), or clean it connecting to a pc with ludipipo interface an rs232, or swap eeproms, second choice swap eeprom+ flash rom, third, search on lvds cable for a line that is pulled high and not twisted with other cables, unplug it, ops... fourth, enter s.menu and find flip option.. bye,
Have you tried unplugging the tv hold input and volume down on the tv then plug the tv back in this may take a couple of tries then the tv should boot up a k should appear on the screen press the ch down volume down at the same time to get into service menu
I tried to get into the service menu but nothing worked. It turned out to be a substitute that Encompass thought was compatible but it turned out not to be so I had to return it. One came up in Ebay and I grabbed it and now it works fine and goes into service menu mode fine also. Nice picture too after a few adjustments.
My guess it's one of those version specific throw away Tv's made by Hisense in Mexico.
That better describes a 100-percent PRC-sourced pile of dog shit...
