Without any photo's of your boards or any voltages taken I think the response to post will be very limited.Willing to help but I'm no expert. -
Re: Samsung PS43 E4501W Plasma Tv
so if you have isolated the ps and you have a short on the vs line. you can either replace the ps, or post some high res pics of the front and rear of the ps and request some assistance in repairing it.WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?Comment

Re: Samsung PS43 E4501W Plasma Tv
This is an older plasma so should be easy enough to check a few voltages and arrive at a diagnosis.Comment

Sorry saw it was 720p and made an assumption. Nice that you have found the short..Comment

Re: Samsung PS43 E4501W Plasma Tv
We need pics of all the boards in your tv. If the x main is the fault then we need a pic of it, and one of the pba number to see if the firmware will work for you.
If it is the x main there is 3 or 4 igbts to replace and its fixed. We wont know untill we see photographic proof.Comment

- Prior owner tried a replacement main board. No difference.
- Samsung 2x red blinking standby LED = panel fault
- Jumpered FB_TRDY_1 (pin 1 CN1300 left. main tcon->left side buffer boards) and FB_TRDY_3 (pin 95 CN1301 right. main tcon->right side buffer boards) This allows testing individual T-Con (on main board) connection to panel on this Samsung. Found fault on left side (viewing from rear of TV)
- Each side has 2 buffer boards, disconnected left side flex between 2 buffer boards. Fault is on the left most board.
- Tape masking eventually isolated to CN1300 pin 15 (CKV4_GOA) Display

by NairolfHello,
I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.
Here’s what I have tried so far:- Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
- Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
- Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.
From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...3 Photos08-24-2025, 03:47 AM -
by M80Samsung model # PN51E550D1FXZA plasma TV after a lightning hit (LAN cable was connected to TV). Standby LED on ok, but when pressing the power button, getting 2 blinks on the red LED, the screen flashes white for a second, and then cycles through this loop routine.
ALL voltages Vs, Ve, Vsc, Va check ok at SMPS output pins and at Main Board connector and X/Y drive board test points.
Noticed the Logic Board LED lights up green for a couple of seconds, hums lightly, then goes off during this cycling.
I've reseated ALL connectors and none of the boards have any burned traces or... -
by cheebsterHello, got a nice 70'' Samsung here that has this symptom, it's (it was) dead with flashing red light, backlight going on and off, looping trying to start up.
So i digged here and youtube, and found the tape method. Got the tv to fire up, however i'm trying to understand what's wrong with it.
At the bottom of the tv, on the panel's PCB there are 3 sections, each of them has 4 connecting tabs to the panel.
So with convering a few pins the tv works, and i messed the flex cable doing so, waiting for a new one to come in to continue troubleshooting. ... - Loading...
