Hi All
I have just received this TV at a very good price although it has a fault with the picture ?
It has lines running horizontally across the top of the picture below this it has a great display.
I have tried changing the t-con board from a similar Sony TV with the same t-con board but this did not clear the fault !!
Now what my question is I have as I said scrap Sony TV that is almost identical to this TV it is a Sony KDL-43W809C but this has a severely smashed screen.
Now I have already removed the LCD panel from this TV and have taken some pictures of the two circuit boards that are attached to this LCD panel.
As you can see each board is attached to the panel via three computer ribbons they are actually soldered on would be more simple if they were clipped !!
The question I am asking is if I were to expose these boards on the faulty picture TV and used my solder heat station to warm these ribbons would this cure these lines on the picture ?
And if this was the case would anyone know which ribbon contact I would need to apply heat to for the top section of the screen.
Any help much appreciated.
Please see pictures of faulty screen and of LCD printed boards from smashed screen.
