My recollection is that if test read under 300 ohms board likely shorted so that low reading x board not good.

I believe I now have a working Y-Main and X-Main. I can get the tv on, as far as sound, logic board blinking every second with the exception of having the ribbon cable from the Y-main to the logic board hooked up. I have added a picture. This is my third Y-Main and second X-main.

I'm confused. If you're saying you can get the tv to power up by NOT having the ribbon plugged in then you likely still have a bad YMain (or other problems). You're not asking the YMain to do sustain work without the ribbon so not a good test of its health or abilities.

This is the first Y-Main, #3 that I have been able to use where the TV doesn't automatically shut off having the 6 pin power cable plugged in to the Y-main.

Downloaded manual. Tried to short jumpers 3 and 4 on logic board with the shorting of pins 1 & 5 on 24P ribbon cable. Still got nothing on screen or any kind of test pattern.

So yes I believe I have other problems. And now I think I have a bad y-main also because I can no longer get the set to stay on when the 6 pin power is plugged to it. So some other problem has further damaged the y-main.

What's a better test?
