Kogan KALED463D1A - horizontal lines on screen

My parents' 46 inch Kogan LCD started showing horizontal lines on screen. They show up in all modes (TV, HDMI input, AV Input), with or without signal applied.

Depending on the image white content, the lines are more or less visible but I could not improve the image by adjusting the brightness or contrast. I also did a factory reset of the tv, but that did not fix the problem.

I opened the TV and did a visual inspection (everything looks good). I also measured the electrolytic capacitors from power supply using a ESR meter and they seem to be in excellent condition (the TV is just over 4 years old). The display is Samsung LTA460HQ12 and the T-Con board is model Samsung SD120PBMB4C6LV0.0.

Based on what I read on forums, I would suspect either a bad contact on the ribbon cables of the T-Con board, or the T-Con board itself or the LCD panel. I am concerned that some people said that most of the time horizontal lines are caused by the panel and not T-Con board. When I get there, I'll open it again and clean the ribbon contacts. I'm am not sure if it's worth ordering the T-Con board.

Maybe some people may recognize the nature of the fault from the photos I provided and offer some advice.

    Thanks,
    Nick

disconnect one side of the t-con at a time power the set up and see if the half that is connected shows a good picture or not, then do the other half.
WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

LG 82UN8570AUD ~ TCON or PANEL?
          by kca
          Hello all ~

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

Hitachi 58HK6100U - Horizontal Lines (Bottom third of the screen)
          by kdaniel
As stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.

There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.

After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
          by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

          Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
          by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...
