    RCA LED50B45RQ no power/LED question

    Hello all,

Put in a new power board (RS129D-3T01). I get the red standby light and then it goes out when I press the power button. No backlight. I have a backlight tester (GJ2C) so I unplugged CON5 and put the tester on the left hand set of red/black wires. I can see a bunch of LEDs light up.

Then, I put the tester on the right hand set of red/white wires and I get nothing. Am I doing something wrong or is the other set of strips bad?

    Thanks!

You have two sets of LED strings, so it sound like one of the strung has open circuit.

The strip with the RED/WHITE connections has bad LEDs. You'll have to pull the panel to get access to them.
