Disconnecting Y Main from buffer board (Samsung Plasma PN60F8500AFXZA)
Hello,
Suspect Y main (LJ92-01950A) is bad on this. As the title says, I can't figure out how to disconnect the boards from each other. Don't want to damage the connectors (the black/white ones, 6 total). Pics attached.
Thanks for any advice....Last edited by joeblah; 03-30-2018, 05:23 PM.

Samsung 60" Plasma PN60F5350BF - Vertical pixels
Hello all,
From what I understand, this panel is probably bad. It looks like vertical lines are developing. They kind of flicker and change. Before I get in too deep, can anyone give their 2 cents on the likelihood of it being the panel? Pics below.
Thanks!...

Re: Sharp LC-60EQ10U - powers on but no glow
andytv, I gave up after replacing the TCON and the MAIN boards.
budwich, there is a picture above. the "snow" is the antenna input. I'm fine with snow, it's the colored vertical lines that I don't want.

Messing with those flex cables causes half the screen to go black or white, while the other side remains "snow." Bad panel?...

Re: Sharp LC-60EQ10U - powers on but no glow
So, replaced the TCON with a "good" board from eBay (they claimed it was tested; only place I could find one). The same problem persists. Disconnecting one ribbon cable from the TCON gives me half snow/half vertical lines.
Any other suggestions?

Re: Sharp LC-60EQ10U - powers on but no glow
Good call, bud. With SC5302 disconnected, I get half snow and half vertical lines. Pics attached. Bad T-CON?
With any of the 4 other cables disconnected, I get no backlight.
EDIT: While looking for a TCON board replacement, I've noticed the board in the set now is a G400FM07. The parts list in the service manual says the TCON should be a G400FM01 for the LC-60EQ10U. This set was given to a guy that brought it to me. I wonder if they tried their own repairs and used the wrong board? The G400FM07 isn't even...Last edited by joeblah; 08-21-2017, 02:45 PM.

Re: Sharp LC-60EQ10U - powers on but no glow
Yes, chassis ground. The same one the board is grounded to. I do have backlights when the TCON ribbon cables are removed. No backlights when the TCON is connected. No image on screen.
I understand, but I can't use the on screen menu because I can't see it....

Re: Sharp LC-60EQ10U - powers on but no glow
Thanks, dick. It appears you must use the OSD to upgrade the firmware. I have no picture, though. Page 4-32 of the operation manual (attached).
Attached now, bud....Last edited by joeblah; 08-17-2017, 05:20 PM.

Re: Sharp LC-60EQ10U - powers on but no glow
I misspoke about the glow of the panel. The panel DOES glow (with TCON ribbons disconnected) but I can't see anything with the flashlight trick. No sound. Thanks for the service manual link.
Here are the L1 readings:
(L1-15) LED4-: 10.5V
(L1-13) LED4+: 83.5V
(L1-11) LED3-: 10.5V
(L1-9) LED3+: 85V
(L1-7) LED2-: 10.5V
(L1-5) LED2+: 85V
(L1-3) LED1-: 10V
(L1-1) LED1+: 85V
Yes, at PD pins 1 and 2 (PNL12V) I am getting 12V.
When I reconnect...Last edited by joeblah; 08-16-2017, 04:04 PM.

Sharp LC-60EQ10U - powers on but no glow
Hello all,
Sharp LED LCD LC-60EQ10U
Anyone have a service manual for this model? Haven't had any luck finding one.
Initially, this set would not power on. I replaced the main board (QPWBXG381WJZZ) and now it will power on (front LED remains lit) but the screen is black (no glow).
I searched for "LC-60EQ10U" in the threads and tried some of the recommendations. Holding down the POWER+MENU buttons for 5 seconds while plugging in the AC results in a flashing front LED. Looks like a 'pulsating' flash gradually increasing/decreasing...

Re: Panasonic Plasma TH-42PX60U - red LED blinks every 3 secs (no picture/sound/light
It looks like DT and DG boards have the biggest processors. DT board is only $20 and DG board is $44. I think I'll order those and report back. Thanks for your help!...

Ah, very good to know! The BSOD analogy makes sense. Thank you. I'll try ordering the A board.
EDIT: Forgive me, but which would be the A board in this case? The H board? The D board? The attachment shows boards/functions....Last edited by joeblah; 08-14-2017, 02:25 PM.

Re: Panasonic Plasma TH-42PX60U - red LED blinks every 3 secs (no picture/sound/light
I bought the whole P board from electroparts_warehouse on eBay. I just put it in and the same problem persists.
I saw the kit, but the fuses are all good (there are 4 on the board). I'll test the MOSFET....

Re: Panasonic Plasma TH-42PX60U - red LED blinks every 3 secs (no picture/sound/light
Thanks, brother. I'm also lacking 15V. However, I don't have 3 blinks, I have 1 blink every 3 seconds (see attachment).
Bit the bullet and bought a "working" P board on eBay for ~$50 (couldn't find another TNPA3911 in stock anywhere else).
I'll report back if this solves things. I wouldn't mind giving you the old P board if you want.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I disconnected SU/SD boards from SC board and the same problem persisted. Re-seated...Last edited by joeblah; 08-09-2017, 08:31 PM.
