I have distortion on the left side of my screen. It happened one night while I was sleeping. I've tried replacing the SC and SS boards to no avail. Bad buffer, panel, main board? I'm not sure. Problem is apparent in the menus as well. There also appears to be faint image retention as well when I get up close. Can provide more pics.

by jimjoe123I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.
Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

by BigPeteI picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

by ItepKHey everyone!
I've gotten this TV for free, neither have it seen a TV repair man, neither have it been opened before.
This post describes my entire troubleshooting process of this TV.
When I turn it on using the ON/OFF switch at the side of the TV, the light rapidly flashes green, then it stays on, but it does not react to any of the remote buttons, side buttons, and doesn't play audio.
I've taken the unit apart, and I've started to check some voltages:
- On the P11 connector, there is 15V DC only for a brief moment, then it goes

by fixxy88Hi everyone. I've been given a dead Pana 55DX600u that I hope to save from landfill. I suspect the tcon board or UC1 on that board.
Set will flash green led and attempt to start, backlight gives a brief flash then set shuts down and red led flashes slowly. Voltages out of PSU look ok. TCon board gets 12v at fuse when attempting to start and 3.3v on L1 but main IC gets warm very quickly (heatsink/cover removed, felt with back of hand) during the second or two the 12v is applied before PSU shuts down. TVS diodes on lvds input lines are not shorted, no caps appear to be shorted. ... -
