    Tv help

HI, my name is Jennifer, and I have gotten a few questions concerning my VIZIO TV, model number VX371hdtv and it was manufactured November 2006. It does not power on, the only thing that comes on when I plug it in is the orange Vizio light, other than that NO picture NO sound. A friend of mine had gave it to me and said that it stopped working on them as well but all they had to do at the time was change the fuse, and now once again for some reason it has stopped working again.. Could it be because of a wrong size fuse? Or possibly even the fuse blown out? What sizes of fuse are the proper size and or if thats not the problem, could you please tell me another way to possibly fix my tv? Thanks

    Re: Tv help

Please start a new post in the TV section and then provide good clear picture of the power supply board.
Look real close at the power supply board where the fuse is to see what the type and fuse rating is printed on the board.
What did you do so far as testing is concerned? Do you have meter to check the fuse to know if it is blown or not, etc.?

Vizio M55-E0 won't power on - fuse intact

      Vizio PSLL241206M inside an M55-E0.

Here's an odd one. Why in the world do I have 76 VAC on the fuse when I have measured 115 VAC on the input power cord? Does this point to something known or simply another SMPS problem I need to run down?...

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
      by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
      The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

Samsung UE46ES8000 Blown fuse but no other signs of short
      by jesterace
Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

      Vizio M65-C1
      by mrtek
      Hi.

picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

Help replacing fuse on my Mimaki CJV300-160 vinyl printer
      by jshhh
      Hi guys,

I'm inexperienced with electronics repairs, I've done a little bit of soldering caps and whatnot, but i have a blown fuse on this mimaki printer I got which I have bought a replacement for.

How do I remove this type of fuse (see picture)...it kinda looks like it would pull out of that bracket but it didn't come at first pull and I didn't want to brute force it incase it's soldered on there like most of the rest of the components.

Anybody know how to remove this type of fuse?

(The fuse is toward the bottom of the image labeled F2)...
