Philips 32PFL3008H/12 repair, blown PSU, Vestel 17IPS19-5P, SMD resistors

This 32" LED Vestel has blown 3.15A fuse, two RL207 diodes from rectifier bridge, switching regulator Infineon ICE3BR0665J (IC303), a zener diode (D314, SOD-123, marking "WE", possibly 9.1V zener), and burnt SMD R301, R302, R303 & R304 in parallel. R302-R304 are 2.7Ω (from marking), but R301 is unreadable. I could guess that all four are the same, but the remnants of R301 marking make me think this one could be different. Perhaps 3.3Ω? These resistors are connected to Current Sense pin of IC303.

I've searched schematics of 17IPS19-5P and there're slight differences with mine. Resistors are all 2.2Ω and IC303 is ICE3BR1765J instead. Not surprising, since "17IPS19-5P" is PCB name, not actual PSU code. Different components can be fitted in same PCB producing different circuits for smaller or larger backlights. I think that PSU code is 23095011 (from a paper label) and Philips code is 9965-900-05964.

Anyone have a board like this and can confirm these resistors, please? Or, is it that important if it's 2.7Ω or 3.3Ω? They're in parallel, so we're talking about an equivalent of 0.68Ω or 0.72Ω.

The CS resistance will determine what the current will be to trip the protection.
I.E. lets say that you want the protection to kick in when the current through the resistor is 1A, so if we use 1 Ohm so at 1A you will have 1Vdrops to trip the circuit, but if you replace the resistor with 0.50 Ohms then the circuit will not trip until the current through the resistor is at 2A.

Thanks. I’ve put a 0.68Ω axial resistor and it’s working fine (replacing all other components, of course). If that resistor determines current limit for switching regulator, then I think that 0.04Ω tolerance won’t be a critical deviation.

Schematic vs. Reality: Where Are the Resistors on My Sharp Clock Radio? Model FY-70CH
        by TinkerTron
        Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a mid-70s Sharp Electronic Digital Clock Radio, Model FY-70CH. I found the service manual online, printed it out, and have been studying it for a while. My main reasons for tackling this are: (1) I want to learn electronics and figured I'd start with something I had on hand, and (2) I want to fix its issues. Right now, the radio sounds awful, has about 5V DC at the speaker terminals, and the alarm time setting doesn't work. But I'm not asking how to fix these problems.

Instead, here's what's been bugging me so far:
        The schematic...

Philips 22PFL2908H/12 - Vestel 17MB62-1 - Possible to enable HDMI CEC?
        by Yrouel
I have this tv for which I'd like to enable HDMI CEC (EasyLink as Philips calls it) if possible.

The CPU/SoC should support it and I found about the possibility of customizing the TV behavior/functionality with the hardware and software profiles.

I also got serial access to the TV through the SCART connector (side note how do you dump the firmware through that port?)

I'm attaching everything I got about this TV: A zipped folder with various material like the profiles, a log of the boot process, a picture of the service menu, etc.; the service manual...

Vestel tv, how to flip the image?
        by France_53
Hello everyone from Italy, I'm here to ask for help on a Vestel TV, I've had a Vestel TV branded "XD" with a broken screen for years, but now I've found a Telefunken (still Vestel but older) and I've mounted the panel on the "XD" TV, it works, but the screen is upside down, given that Vestel does not allow you to rotate the image from the service menu, does anyone know how to solve the problem? the original panel is marked ves315WNDS-2D-N12 while the main board 17mb110, the panel I mounted instead in the tv (from the telefunken) is a ves315WNDA-02. ... It is not worth repairing...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo
        by G33RT
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

Hot Air Blew Away Resistors Near Bios
        by brightest_z
Hi All - I'm in the midst or reprogramming the bios on my gen1 Surface Laptop Studio and I accidentally blew away 2 resistors nearby the bios. I don't have another board to measure values of the missing resistors and schematics aren't available, bbut the bios is a 6x5mm Winbond WSON8, W25R256JWPQ model. The traces are conductive to Pins 3 and 7 (IO2 & IO3 respectively) so I have reason to believe they are 10k pull up resistors since IO2&3 pins are used for Quad SPI instructions.

Does anyone with more knowledge, and experience than I, know if this is the case?
