    Samsung PN51F4500AF 51" Plasma - No Power

Hi all, I am trying to troubleshoot this set for a neighbor.
It won't power on. No standby light, no power light, nothing. I've listened closely with the back open and I don't hear any sounds when attempting to power up. I've tried using the IR blaster on my phone in case the power button was the problem. that is not working, but I also can't say for sure that I have tried the right codes.

I checked the fuse on the power board, and the surface mount fuse on the main board, and both test OK. I have a little under 118V at the power board fuse.
I don't see any swollen or leaking caps, or any other obvious issues as far as I can tell. Not sure where to go from here.
I would be very appreciative of any help or suggestions anyone could provide!

Also, does anyone happen to know which pins I can jump in place of the power button to rule out that being faulty? It has one of those funky samsung all in one buttons that are like a joystick.

Thank you all in advance! I have attached a picture of the power board. Honestly not sure why I didnt get pics of all the boards but I will do that shortly and add them.

Measure the voltage on legs of the 2 black caps on high power side of the board by red lead positive leg side of cap and black lead to negative leg with meter set about 600v. Post what you get.

I would think the PSU is faulty.....Do you have the Stand-By voltage?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

[HELP] Acer AN515-55 (LA-J871P Rev: 1B) – Board won't power on after GPU investigation – Suspecting Super I/O or PCH

        Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:
        • Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B
        • Model: Acer AN515-55-59MT
        • S/N: NHQ7JAL00403906A973400
        • SNID: 03902728734

        Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

Need advice testing a samsung power supply board with scope
        by repair-it
I am attempting to test a samsung power supply board to verify the pfc ic is working. I am powering up the board with my isolation transformer. The board turns on fine but when I attempt to connect the ground for the scope probe, it trips out the isolator. I was taught not to 'float my scope' so I am wondering if I should test without connecting the ground lead or would that be asking for trouble? Not sure how else to test, I don't have a portable scope. I could plug direct to mains power but that would bypass the safety factor.
