    Element ELEFW328

This is a good one. This tv will not turn on. But after sitting for a couple of days it will then turn on untill I turn if off. Then it will not turn back on for a couple more days. I have checked the fets, regulators, diodes, ETC. Sprayed freeze spray on everthing, and tried to turn it on, no go. Anyone have an Idea what might be the problem?

Can't really help but I recently had a TV (RCA brand) that seems to use the very same board AND does the same thing. The problem got progressively worse over time and in the end wouldn't start at all. No output voltage on LED connectors (not even for a brief moment, checked with scope).

The only thing I found was that two of the signals on the memory chip (SOIC8) next to the microprocessor had a voltage that was way out of spec, I think it was the clock signal with about 1.2V and the DO with a lot of noise on it.

I thought it was not worth the hassle to continue working on it. IMO it's a problem on the mainboard, not LEDs etc.

If you buy a board on ebay make sure it is for exactly your TV / size and same brand. There are a lot of variations of these kind of boards and they don't always seem to be compatible eventhough they look the same.

      Thanks for the input paulstef.

I agree. After doing some more online research, that seems to be a problem with this main board. Don't know that I will mess with buying a board for this set. I will probably scrap it, and buy a new one.
