    LG 32L46 No Turning On

    Hiya all longtime

Got the Tv dropped off to me the other day, led light on front not lighting up to indicate Tv set is on. Did my visual checks noticed 2 caps bulged C204,C205 will provided photos of boards once I find my camera.

I replaced those 2 bad caps the led to front functions correctly now Green Tv is On, Red its in Standby.

Also did bit of reflow work on what I wasn't sure if could be problems around transformers legs or anything with brown residue.

So I kinda sure the power supply side is ok?

I noticed on switching on a slight tick tick sound coming from the inverter board, so I removed cover didn't a few checks 1st been visual.

    Theres 5 smd fuses

    Fuse 1 - 3a/63v check Ok
    Fuse 2 - 3a/63v check open
    Fuse 3 - 3a/63v check open
    Fuse 4 - 3a/63v check open
    Fuse 5 - 0.75/63v check Ok

Think these most definitely need replacing F2-F3-F4.
This is were I could do with some help been on flea-bay but not sure on the correct part number.

    Circuit Side
    I315B1-16A

The inverter board has so many numbers underneath green side has

for three fuses to be blown other parts on that board may/must be faulty too upload a picture/part number of the invertor board so we can see what were dealing with

The circuit side number brings up the following board.
It looks as though the 8 pin devices (mosfets maybe) are faulty.
This could be because of the transformers being out of spec and operating at a higher current.

Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Quick update still not found camera will use phone.
By chance found the exact board all numbers matched on fleabay good bargain price £6 lol @ £5pp so great.

Before plugging the (new used board) into Tv i check it against the faulty board, found it to be shorted to ground around those little capacitors where they are seated 3 in a row across the board if thats the correct terminology. So not sure if replacing the mentioned fuses above would of fixed that issue.

Cut to the chase tv is now on working to a certain degree? If i plug my Kodi box in to the HDMI sockets port 1 or 2 it freezes the (Not Programmed) sign that moves around the screen like a screen saver. Tv remote control does not function to commands when pressed.

Got to unplug HDMI cable, also unplug power lead.

Ive tested with another HDMI source been from my Miracast & all is fine both ports working, remote control working fine, Tv been on for over 3 hours no problems.

I waiting for a much better quality HDMI cable to arrive so i can test with the kodi box again, also will be trying connecting to a DVD player. I've only got my kodi box & that miracast as my only HDMI devices i can test with at the moment.

          Any suggestions will be helpful.

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
            by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
            The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

TE Circuit Protection offers the widest selection of surface-mount fuses available for addressing a broad range of overcurrent protection applications. Helping to prevent costly damage and promote a safe environment for electronic and electrical equipment, our single-use chip fuses provide performance stability to support applications with current ratings from .5A up to 20A.

TE Circuit Protection also offers the telecom FT600 fuse for telecommunications applications. This telecom fuse helps comply with North American overcurrent protection requirements, including Telcordia, GR-1089,...

Magnum IA.100 Amplifier Switches on, No Output, Possible Input Side fault?
            by flibidy
I have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.

The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.

Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

Samsung UE46ES8000 Blown fuse but no other signs of short
            by jesterace
Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

Help replacing fuse on my Mimaki CJV300-160 vinyl printer
            by jshhh
            Hi guys,

I'm inexperienced with electronics repairs, I've done a little bit of soldering caps and whatnot, but i have a blown fuse on this mimaki printer I got which I have bought a replacement for.

How do I remove this type of fuse (see picture)...it kinda looks like it would pull out of that bracket but it didn't come at first pull and I didn't want to brute force it incase it's soldered on there like most of the rest of the components.

Anybody know how to remove this type of fuse?

(The fuse is toward the bottom of the image labeled F2)...
