Re: Samsung UN60D8000YFXZA Power Supply clicking

I'm having the same clicking and blinking light. When I unplug the main board from power board, the backlight will light up and TV turns on. I have tried unplugging the individual cables from the main board to narrow down the issue but even with them all unplugged the TV will still click. Only way to get it to work is unplugging the main board. I'm unable to unplug only the wire that goes the the buttons/IR sensor because I can't turn on the TV with these disabled. So I guess I can't rule that out.

TV started doing this after a storm. Does this in any way rule out a bad power board? or could it still be the power board considering it works when the main board is unplugged and doesn't have a full load? There are no visually bad/puffy capacitors on the power board either. Thank you guys for your help in pointing me in the right direction. I'm no TV expert, but I'm learning a lot and fast.

Just to update in case it helps others. I replaced the main board and now the TV is good to go.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

Definitive technology SC 2000 subwoofer amp's power supply clicking and popping
            by JimBanville
The sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...

Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!
            by cheeky2
This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
            by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
