Samsung PN50B450B1D 50-inch plasma random vertical lines

First time poster here...

4-5 randomly spaced lines show up on all menu screens and video sources, all on the right side of screen, and all appear to be different colors.

I have seen several posts that say this is most likely a bad panel, and 1 post that says buffer boards. Just want to make sure I exhaust all possibilities before throwing in the towel. Is here anything worth trying like checking cables or cleaning it? Or is this a total waste of time?

You didn't need us to confirm you diagnosed it yourself. Bad PDP however the Ymains (if its the long one with built on buffer) sell for a fair bit.

hi, i had this issue and i got lucky be removing the ribbons and reseating them. i noticed when i applied pressure on the ribbon slot the lines disappeared, im sorry if this comes across stupid, im new on here and very wet behind the ears.
