    Sharp lc-60le810un - issues ! Help !

what I know, what I have been able to do to this point...

my LC-60LE810UN basically plays blind, it has the one fast one slow blink, I am able to boot the TV up in test mode with the -neg vol ^channel up and power buttons

once in test, I can see the menu with a flashlight to the face of the screen, at no point does the LED's that back light come on, they do not blink, they do nothing, the TV senses connection on any of the inputs ( HDMI port ) and will play a DVD

I have lightly cleaned, removed and inspected both the power board and main board without seeing any obvious signs of failure, I have inspected the " T " board and that looks good too

I have a fluke, on the power board I have tested the diodes in series and they all seem to check out ok acting normal from what I can tell without schematics and the values

same for the caps... they all look fine on the power board without any signs of imploding or pregnancy

I have poked around at voltages, tested the 120AC and a few other sections of the AC side of the power board, moving to the DC side of it, I got the usual 12v and 5v and 3.3 in certain locations

I have a blinking light on the main board, to the right of the center heat sync, its blinks on and off consistently

also the one place I did test voltages, where the problem cound be was at the LED DRIVE + L1 & L2 connections, and experienced really low values from 0.007v to maybe 0.018v

from what I have read, this is the LED power section, that fires up the backlighting, and should output somewhere around 120v to 150v to be in working order ?

does anyone have any suggestions? thanks for your time & reading all this

    Tony

The connector on the power supply board that goes to the main board has labels for each pin, we need to know what DCV you have on those pins, you MUST report them in this format:
Pin name xxxx, Voltage = xxxx

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
            by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

            Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
            by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
            CN6401
            Pin 01 NC
            Pin 02 NC
            Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
            Pin 04 "N/C"
            Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
            Pin 06 "GND": N/C
            Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
            by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
            • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
            • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...
