    Haier 49uf2500

Just bought this cheap at an action. The tv is new but when you turn it on it has a vertical black line about 4" wide that moves across screen. The line scrolls across like a logo on a screen saver would (like jumps but stays in same pattern from left to right. Any ideas where do start on a solution?
    Thanks.

With the menu on is the line over or under the osd? Maybe some pictures of the screen
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Ok, so I plug the tv in again and try it and the line is gone, picture is working great now but every so often the center of screen seems to get a little jumpy if you know what i mean (kind of like poor cable signal) But cable is fine and only does this for a second or so then every once in a while i notice a kind of thin green line across the very bottom edge of screen? i am clueless?
I paid $25 bucks for this new in sealed box from an action but was sold as is.

My only suggestion at this point would be to tap around on boards, heat/cool try to localize. Reset cables, check ground screws etc. Visually examine for bad solder connections.

Ok so now the tv powers on briefly with logo then goes to image posted. If I shut it off and turn back on about 10 times it finally is normal with a good pic and stay that way until I shut off then turn back on then happens all over again. I have taken the back off and see no caps that appear to be swollen and find no loose solder joints. Everything actually looks pretty clean. I am clueless for the next step??? Thanks for any advice.

Did you do this. Probably bad connection somewhere.

Disconnect your ribbons from the Tcon and clean carefully with alcohol and carefully reseat them into the connectors then lock back down. Check that the ends are not damaged before reconnecting using a magnifier.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
                  by Kiberge
                  HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                  by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
                  by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                  by smic717394
                  Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

LG OLED 55EG920V Black Screen with one line
                  by fibcom999
Hi guys, I have aquired a LG 55EG920V for very small amout of money.

I have jumped the Power on, DRV_ON and 3,5v pins just for the screen to show a black screen with a green line offset to the left.

Connecting everything together, shuts the tv off automaticlly after a couple of second( LG protection?)

Tried with a spare MB and the original, both the same results.

But if i unplug the 12v rail to the tcon or the larger LVDS to tcon, the tv turns back to the one line and dosent shut off.

Could this be a tcon issue or something...
