Re: Haier 49uf2500
Ok so now the tv powers on briefly with logo then goes to image posted. If I shut it off and turn back on about 10 times it finally is normal with a good pic and stay that way until I shut off then turn back on then happens all over again. I have taken the back off and see no caps that appear to be swollen and find no loose solder joints. Everything actually looks pretty clean. I am clueless for the next step??? Thanks for any advice....

Re: Haier 49uf2500
Ok, so I plug the tv in again and try it and the line is gone, picture is working great now but every so often the center of screen seems to get a little jumpy if you know what i mean (kind of like poor cable signal) But cable is fine and only does this for a second or so then every once in a while i notice a kind of thin green line across the very bottom edge of screen? i am clueless?
I paid $25 bucks for this new in sealed box from an action but was sold as is.Last edited by eppidrummer; 01-28-2017, 11:06 PM.

Haier 49uf2500
Just bought this cheap at an action. The tv is new but when you turn it on it has a vertical black line about 4" wide that moves across screen. The line scrolls across like a logo on a screen saver would (like jumps but stays in same pattern from left to right. Any ideas where do start on a solution?
Thanks.

Re: wireless frequency change...
bummer, the unit is 742.70MHz and is an ATW-R14. So I take it they are trash?
Only paid $5 for the pair. The problem is the frequency to the packs dont match the base.
Thanks for the reply.

wireless frequency change...
I picked up 2 wireless units for guitar at a thrift store for next to nothing, problem is the wireless receiver pack frequency's dont match with the base.
same brands and model though.
A friend said the only option is to change crystals.
Is this even possible? If so has anyone here have any experience doing something like this that could put me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Re: 32-bit vs 64-bit OS
I do a lot of video editing and also do alot with adobe after effects (now only made in 64bit version).
After effects is night and day on 32b vs 64b.
To me a 64bit os seems all around faster.
After effects start up time on xp 32b is about 45sec.
On 64 bit with 8gb ram, opens in under 10 sec.
64 for me all the way just because the programs I use run way better.

Re: inspiron 1750 screen replacement...
Thanks for the reply but I have removed and reinstalled the screen several times with the same results. I even looked at the connection with a magnify glass before I reassembled and it looks fine. I am clueless?

Re: Dell Dimension 8400 V-Core caps
The finger drill is pretty quick and works better than you would think. Have not damaged a hole yet with mine....

Re: Dell Dimension 8400 V-Core caps
The drill bit I am referring to is the exact size of the cap leg (smaller than the whole). The bit is used with the hand tool and not a drill and is twisted in by hand. The whole is still lined with solder when finished and has worked perfect for me on every board I have done.
Keep in mind that I do first use a solder sucker so the bit goes through most of the wholes with very little effort.

Re: Dell Dimension 8400 V-Core caps
Just an idea: This is what I use to clean the holes on every board I have done with 100% success. Mine came with an assortment of drill bits with one being the exact size of the new cap legs. I gently twist the bit through the hole. Has worked every time for me.
