ok unpluged the cable in the pic, jumped terminals 3&4 on the test terminals and plugged in power,no pic's. It used to turn on with the remote but now nothing, blue power light is on. Maybe wrong cable??

my board is different from any thing I've seen, I guess because the tv ( a fluid) made for radio shack. The samsung logic board # is LJ41-05078A screwed down underneathwhat I think is the t-con.

this looks like your board ?
http://www.dhgate.com/product/origin...379549153.html (can zoom in over picture)

so you have removed the lvds cable top right and used a jumper across the top two pins on the test connector and you get nothing on the screen ? all other ribbon cables etc connected still?

Thats pretty much the same but the 2 left hand pins are labeled 3 and 4 and thats where I put a jumper from a H/D. Screen still black.

maybe reece etc has some more tests/ideas you can do/run as im not sure what the next stage of fault finding is now as in which board to test next.

Hooray! I remembered reece saying all cables need to reconnected and I still had the 1 with 1and4 jumped, hokked it back up and voila test patterns but because I have to have the stand off to get at the boards it's laying face down and can only see the changing colors on the bottom edge. SOOOO, where do I go from here.lol. Btw the remote will turn it on but not off.

Glad you have managed to narrow down the fault in post 47 i also did mention about having all the other cable re connected i would also check the main board (the one with hdmi ports on etc) from the uk will work in your country as you may not be able to use the tuner etc.

                                            Hello,

I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

Spent some time downloading the Service...

DeLonghi AC Remote only accepts 3V

Hello all, I've been looking into this portable air conditioner's remote control and can't find what could be causing the problem - or possibly this remote is just terribly designed.

The remote only works at exactly 3V - if I drop it any lower, using my bench power supply, to say, 2.9V then the remote will not flash the display and turn off. I don't have any AAA batteries that are exactly 1.5V each so I'm not sure if this remote is designed this way - to only use the freshest possible batteries, or if there's a failed component in the mix.

                                            I can't find any schematics...

Zenith Z50PJ240 - White Screen with 'Power Only' displayed

Turned on my lovely plasma and after about 30 seconds the screen below showed up. None of the inputs are responsive, just the red light flashes when I push it. Remote doesn't work either. To turn it off I need to unplug it and when I plug it in again it turns back on to this screen.

I only found one reference to this issue with a different model but it didn't look super reliable. Only mentioned a 'main board fault'. The main board for this one is on ebay for $34 so might need to go with that.

                                            Anyone seen this before?

Thinking about it some more, it happened...

I have this receiver for at least 10 years. Usually, we just use the remote for turning on/off and adjusting the volume. Recently, the remote control started not able to turn the receiver on. Later, the volume also could not be adjusted by the remote control.

At first, I thought that it was the usual problem which can be fixed by cleaning the contacts on the switches and the pcb. I opened the remote and clean it with alcohol. The remote did work again after that. But after one day, it did not work again. I opened it again and clean with alcohol and contact cleaner. Again it worked...
