I got a Seiki SE32HY01UK. It would power on, flash the Seiki logo then repeat.
I thought it might be a firmware issue but couldn't find one anywhere and Seiki gave the standard line about warranty and repairs.
I bought a second hand board off ebay and it fixed the TV, but hang on....
I took a look at the board and found a 25Q64BSIG mounted next to the main BGA ic.
I removed it off the board with hot air and put it in my reader. It didn't recognise the chip but did read something off it. Next I removed the chip off the working board and read that. It detected it and read it successfully. I figured the old chip was obviously faulty.
I have some new 25Q64FVSIG on my shelf that I figured was very similar.
Flashed it and hey presto the dead board is now alive.
Here's the firmware for anyone else.
