    Seiki SE32HY01UK firmware.

I got a Seiki SE32HY01UK. It would power on, flash the Seiki logo then repeat.
I thought it might be a firmware issue but couldn't find one anywhere and Seiki gave the standard line about warranty and repairs.
I bought a second hand board off ebay and it fixed the TV, but hang on....
I took a look at the board and found a 25Q64BSIG mounted next to the main BGA ic.
I removed it off the board with hot air and put it in my reader. It didn't recognise the chip but did read something off it. Next I removed the chip off the working board and read that. It detected it and read it successfully. I figured the old chip was obviously faulty.
I have some new 25Q64FVSIG on my shelf that I figured was very similar.
Flashed it and hey presto the dead board is now alive.
Here's the firmware for anyone else.

    Re: Seiki SE32HY01UK firmware.

    Hi mate
My niece has this TV and same problem of just showing the Seiko logo. Its basically brand new as she only occasionally used it in her grandmothers house. I'm very much an amateur but would tinker around and just wondering do you think it would be worth replacing the board to see if I get any life from it. I seen boards at around 30 quid.
    Micky.

      Re: Seiki SE32HY01UK firmware.

      Hello diff,
Glad you got the set up and running and happy to see you posted the firmware to the Forum.
Is it possible to also post the panel number & mainboard number the firmware operates on which would be really useful.
      Thanks
Willing to help but I'm no expert.
