    Samsung PS43F4500 - Identify Component

I would very much appreciate your help in obtaining the service manual for this model.

There is a fault on the combined Y(Buffer/Main) board with a R5080 burning up and its solder pads overheating and starting to carbonise the circuit board. I cannot read the resistor's original value.

Even if I replace R5080 the chances are that there is likely to be other problems causing it to overheat which will need to be found and so a diagram would be extremely useful.

Vscan = 80 ohms to ground so suspect there is an issue here.

    Many thanks in advance.

          Hello ReeceyBurger123,
One end of the resistor connects to the ground plane and the other end to one pin of the transformer alongside.

                  Hello Hamie,
Out of curiosity would you be able to measure the resistance between Vscan to ground so I can compare my reading.
                  Thanks

Looks like it charging a cap. Goes to around 20m ohms then OL then starts to fall.

Re: Samsung PS43F4500 - Identify Component

Just checking the resistance and it's back up to a few K's of ohms so looks OK.
Powering back up the set and the area under the resistor is still arching over even though I had scraped away as much carbon as possible without losing the pads.
Have found a cheap replacement board and have ordered it.

One end of that resistor is not connected the + leg of the caps?

You should check things like the transistors and driver Ic of that tranny for short circuits just to be safe.

Just a quick suggestion. Looking at the ends of the resistor, one leg is becoming quite tarnished and it would be worth cleaning and soldering the top solder pads so it doesn't burn through as it has on my board.

Yes solder the top pads, I had to do so on a burnt sammy sustain board as well, helps the solder flow through better. Will post image db.

Would anyone have the schematic for the power supply in this set which is BN44-00598A Rev 1.1

I have the following voltages on CN4009.
The OUT-A voltage of 79V was given in another thread on this site for this set, however it measures only 12V on this power supply.
VA & VS both start at their correct values as given on the panel label and then drop towards 0V.

Sound plays fine and set responds to remote control.

Check across the three green caps for shorts and the four SMD Fets to the rear of board . If found to be shorted a new board could workout cheaper than repair ? pick them up for under £20

                                          Samsung Plasma PN58B860Y2F low vscan
                                          by xrey
We all of the sudden started getting a washed out picture and rainbow colored static/snow.

When we tested vscan, etc., everything measured properly but not the vscan.

Supposed to be -193 got -93 (tested it w the TV on)

Researched it and decided to replace the y board and y buffers.

Now I get no picture or sound - TV turns on but nothing else.

When I run the same tests I am still getting -93 on the vscan test and this is now a different Y board, buffers, etc.

So I am thinking either I did something wrong originally in...

Samsung un49m5300af - identify weird part
                                          by itelite
Hey, working on this (seemingly very cheap quality) Samsung.

One half of the bottom LED strip is out. All Leds test perfectly, and i have determined the problem as this part in series being open. All working strips this part reads 0 ohm and the strips work great. As this part is causing then open circuit the series LEDs are not lighting.

I have done tons of LED replacements on strips over the years and have never seen this thing before.

Any ideas? Is it a 0 ohm resistor? A Fuse? Something else entirely?

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?

I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
