    JVC LT-32DA52J LED Vestel REBRAND

    Hello

I have a problem with the following LED TV JVC LT-32DA52J, basically this belonged to my Gran who was going to throw away and buy a new one.

Seeing as I dabble with repairs on most things thought I would take a look, saving her money and getting favourite status at the same time.

Problem with TV is has backlights but no picture(not sure about sound)

Anyways I have since bought a replacement main board 17mb82-2 (Matching the numbers on the yellow sticker)which results in the same problem.

I have also tried the update method freezing the SP flash chips to trick it into restoring the original firmware, as read that this has happened to a few VESTEL rebranded TV's before.

    And that didn't work

Switching on LED blinks about 10 times before the lights come on and sometimes I get a small flash for a milli second on the panel.

When I disconnect the LVDS cable from the T-CON board it still stays the same light black display no functions work other than switching it off and on.

Any assistance would be great before I give up and take it down to the local dump.

    Many thanks OXY

Post some straight shot, high resolution pictures of your boards.

Find the Tcon, have a look at the fuse as a start.

This does not have a Tcon, panel failure likely. Ive seen the tab bond driver actually blow a hole in its self in these panels which isnt fixable. Utter trash.

        Hi thanks for the replies

No it hasn't got a t-con as such but there is a thin flimsy pcb connected to the panel using ACF bonding and has the following part no:- 320codesigns4lv0.2.

So it's the panel that's crapped out, thing is it looks like it's trying to display something. If you look closely it just appears black, not like if the backlight went.

Ok seems this is fit for the trash thanks for your help guys ✌🏻️✌🏻✌🏻
