Did you replace the burnt cable with an exact replacement?....If NO then get an exact replacement and try it....If YES then disconnect the left T-CON cable to the Panel and power up TV....If the TV remains ON then Power OFF and reconnect LEFT cable and disconnect RIGHT cable to Panel from the T-CON Bd...Power up the TV..... If the TV remains ON then Power OFF and reconnect....You have a T_CON Bd problem.......toss the T-CON Bd out and replace with an exact replacement...If however when powering up with either side of the T-CON to Panel cable connected the TV shuts down then you have a bad Panel.

          Just to update
          Was a bad mainboard
          Sourced a replacement
Now with the back cover on and all screws tightened
The set does no switch on
Removing the ones that go to the main chaisis sometimes resolves this.

Any know areas where these are know to short
I am assuming a short as the set appears totally dead ..
          when this happens.

Samsung UN70TU6980FXZA no sound no picture but does have backlights
              by stinger
When I turn tv on, the backlights come on but there is no sound or picture. I have read that these tv's have problems with the panels going bad but the "no sound" has me questioning if the main board is bad. Is there a way to troubleshoot the main board to determine if that is the problem?

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
              by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

              Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung LCD TV no picture backlight on no 12v at tcon
              by shelby5041
              hi
i have a samsung lcd tv

it powers on with sound and backlight but no picture

all voltages from PS are good 12v 3.3v and 5v

whats odd is that at the tcon i tested voltage across the fuse on the tcon and i get 0v

i figured main board issue..so i ordered a used main board....when i put replacement main board in i still have same issue

no 12v at the tcon fuse

i disconnect the panel ribbon cables to rule out any panel issues and i still have no 12v at the tcon fuse

              the odds of having 2...

              Hello all,

This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...
