    Vizio E60-c3 led driver problem

    Hi alll.
I have a Vizio E60-c3 . The driver section is bad. built in to the main board. All works but the backlight., I only get 25v + coming out of driver section, need 32v. I tested the led strips with a ext. ps. My question is can i use a regulator to step the 25v to 32v? possible?
    Thanks
    Mike

Re: Vizio E60-c3 led driver problem

I do not see any boost converter circuit on the main board to boost the incoming 24VDC to 32VDC.
You can look up the spec sheet of the LED controller IC U4000 to see the application circuit to see how it works.
So far it looks like it has 12 LED drivers for 12 LED strings for zone control driving of the LED strings, have to be verified by the spec of the IC.

Did we ever get an answer to this problem. I have the same issue and I really do not want to remove the panel if it is for sure a bad power supply. Mine puts out 24V to the led's and I have not been able to find a spec sheet to see if U400 will boost to 32v.

I took the panel off and found that there are several LED's that are bad and one shorted led on one strip.

No Power problem with Vizio E60-E3
            by rajbot
            Hi all:

I have a Vizio E60-E3 I am trying to troubleshoot a no power problem with. Thanks to the help on this board and elsewhere, I was pretty sure I had narrowed it to a power board problem. The board in question is a 09-60CAP0D0-00. Image attached for reference, but not of my board (tv is put away at the moment). FWIW, no obvious looking issues with the board.

I measured voltage at power in and on the fuse and saw 120V, so power is getting to the board.

On the pins out to the main board, I got no voltage at all on any of the pins. I assumed this...

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
            by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
            1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
            2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
            3. Problem: TV shuts down

Power Suply Led Driver Repair Problem
            by rodrigo.bernardo
            Hello everyone,

I am trying to repair a faulty power suplly for a LED Light.
I measure 0 V on the output so LED dont light up, however in the input (out of rectifier), I have 60 V, so the problem must be in the middle.
Capacitors seems to be good condition, diode is also good (I tested). No burn signals elsewhere.

I attached the pcb board and a shcematic that I draw from observing the PCB. Note that there is an IC with the letters "BVYDLA" (I think its that)... its the only thing I found written on IC.
I cant find datasheets of this PCB....

Vizio E55-F1 dark backlight zones. LED failure or Dimming Zone Driver?
            by howardc64
            Problem

Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

            Model & Board Pics

            Conflicting Spec

Vizio indicate this TV has 10 dimming zones. However, LED strips and Zoned light driver connector suggest 12
