LG 60PV400 Plasma Flatpanel exhibiting no signs of life

I'm working on this newer (circa 2011) 60" LG Plasma and it's got me stumped. It doesn't respond to pressing the power button and I don't have the remote available to me. There are no power lights or anything lighting up on the front either.

I removed the back cover and checked all the fuses I could see; everything checked out. Capacitors all look okay. And I already ruled out that metal box that the power cord plugs into because we've got line voltage on the red connector plugging into the power supply. Any ideas on where to go from here?

What voltages do you have on the power supply?
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

      Fixed!

Good call. I didn't have time to troubleshoot the power supply piecewise, but I was able to replace the whole board for a reasonable price, so I will likely just sell the old one on eBay for somebody else to fix up .

      Case closed; Plasma fixed!

Good work, I also strongly advise you resolder all the coils on the Xsus and Ysus help it last longer.

LG 60PV400-UB plasma TV with sound but no picture FIXED
            by Yanleb
Hi all, I just want to share the fix on a LG 60PV400-UB plasma TV. It has sound, but no picture.

The power supply was ok, supplying VS and VA to the Y sustain board.

The Y sustain board (EBR73561201 or EAX64232001) had no VSB and VY voltage. Still no VSB and VY after disconnecting the Y buffer boards. The only problem I found was an open fuse at position FS104 (2A 125V).

Before reconnecting the Y buffer boards, I checked them for shorted buffer chip. And as expected, I found one at position IC251 on the lower Y buffer board (EBR73561001 or EAX64231901)....

            Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV
            by ArMaaN376
            Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
            a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
            c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

            Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
            by jm1234
            Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
            by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...
