I have a p50s30 that will not do anything. You plug power in and get no sound of relay clicking, no lights, no picture. Can someone walk me through how to test this with a volt meter? Thanks!

Re: Panasonic tc-p50s30 no power please advise!
This is either a power supply or mainboard failure.
Measure for 5V on the big connector going to the mainboard.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60! -

Which pin(s) should I check? I can't seem to find any voltage at either end of the connector.Comment

Re: Panasonic tc-p50s30 no power please advise!
Can you take clear pictures of the boards? I got this tv in parts , if i remember correctly there is one connector that goes to the mainboard called "P6". It must have 5v on one of the pins. Don't have the schematic.
It's tricky. On the VT50/GT60 a dead tv is a bad mainboard , on this tv im not sure yet. Need a schematic.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

While you wait for moreno have you tried disconnecting sc20 and sc2 cable and if power returns. The sc board commonly fails and goes short across sc2 pins which you could also check. Not sure if it can cause a no standby led it mayComment

Re: Panasonic tc-p50s30 no power please advise!
Thanks for the pictures. I got the same powersupply and mainboard but with a different SC board. The PS is also in the 42ST30 / G30 / S30 and U30.
I will measure the voltages on the powersupply alone and with the mainboard connected. Will be tonight though ....i am at work!
But ofcourse you need 5V on the P6 connector going to the mainboard.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

Thanks so much! I was unable to get any voltage from the p6 connector. Would that indicate a bad ps or a board?
Thanks again for all the help!Comment

Re: Panasonic tc-p50s30 no power please advise!
Thanks. I checked the 5 fuses and have continuity across each one. I am not sure that I was checking the p6 connector correctly because I wasn't sure which pin should have voltage. I tried grounding one probe to a screw on the frame of the tv and the other probe to each pin, and I did not get power to any pin. Also, on the board there is a printed schematic beside the connector. It shows that several different places should have 15v... Is this A/C or D/C power? Sorry if this is a stupid question.Comment

Re: Panasonic tc-p50s30 no power please advise!
Its 5V / 15V DC.
There is a black line on the powersupply that cuts the board in half. One side is AC and the other side is DC. ( high current to low current ).
You sure there is no 5V on P6? You measuring via ground?I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

The mains is plugged in?
First picture you need to put the black prope on ground. ( Chassis ).
Red prope on P6 connector and test all pins.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
Hi. I have a Panasonic TX-50EX700B which hadn't been used very often for some time. Recently it started getting used a little more often, until one day it just refused to power on with the red LED blinking 13 times. Upon researching, it turned out it apparently had something to do with the 5v power line, so I assumed it was probably the power supply.
I purchased a power supply for the TV from a seller that claims that it works fine and was just taken from a TV with a broken screen. After fitting the new power supply and trying the TV, I was greeted with the power LED being red for... - Loading...
