When you read the original you saved it as a dump file. Can you compare a read of the cloned nand flash to the dump to verify.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Well, when i do a verify i see that some bytes also if same value are allocated in different address.

If that's the case then it hasn't made a true copy and the clone would be invalid.

Unfortunately I'm unfamiliar with the IC. All I can suggest is try and google as much information as possible and double check you programmer settings.

Maybe this programmer cannot clone or repair bad memory blocks from MT29F8G08ABABA, he just ignore them.

                    Re: Unable to clone nand-flash

have you program any other NAND chip with this programmer?

the reason I ask, sometime the software for the programmer isn't correct for NAND memory chip.
I had a Wellon VP896 and Its never read or write to the NAND memory chip I was trying to read/write too. Tech support at wellon claim their programmer can read/write to NAND chip. I never got a successful read.

when reading a NAND memory the software shouldn't read bad blocks, if there is an option in the configuration setting about reading bad blocks you shouldn't read bad blocks.

when writing bad block should be skip, the programmer software should control this function

also I notice that some NAND memory chip has no bad blocks or very little. does your software tell you how many bad blocks the chip have if you erase the chip.

Most Micron NAND memory I have read has no or very little bad blocks.

I have the TNM5000 and its works great!! no problem reading or writing to any NAND memory chip !!!

the software is well layout with good features.

yes you don't want to read bad block with copying NAND memory. doesn't the software inform your how many bad block is there when you erase or do a blank check?

I would like to know more about the following topic:
Nand flash on smartphone for data recovery.

I have been reading of people swapping nand flash from a faulty mainboard to another in order to save the data.
But I also read about encrypted data which to be read must been swap also cpu, or nfc or something else where is located the key to make the data being readable.
How does it works? How do I know if data are encrypted or where is the key?

I know there are also very expensive external socket where you can put the nand flash in...

                                        Hello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.

In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display....

                                        Hi, everyone!

I've recently acquired two brand new SPI chips to replace the one currently in my Acer A514-54G laptop MB (FH5AT LA-K092P). The reason why I'm replacing the current SPI chip is because I had some difficulties with a third-party IT assistant who pretty much lacked the soldering skills and ended up destroying the current SPI chip soldered to my MB from factory.

I've decided to do this on my own because I spent the past month or so learning some soldering skills and BIOS modding through Badcaps and WinRaid forums, hence the attempt. I've also chosen to buy...
