For $120 shopjimmy has a repair kit that has every board.

Already cancelled the ysus and zsus.

Why do I need to check them for shorts on the circuit transistors if I'm replacing the whole buffer?

I wouldn't spend $120 for the repair kit, it was just a remark to how cheap they are compared to just 1 SC board for a Panasonic.

No shorts on the ysus.

Check the transistors, also these have alot of Smd stuff too check that. Then check the Zsus.

Ysus and zsus both check ok, from my limited know how.
I've ordered the lower buffer from shopjimmy.

So then buffer failure here, let me know what happens after you replace it

The new buffer arrived. I put it in and it works. Total price for a 60" plasma $107.
