Single vertical line on 50" Panasonic Viera TV

This is an issue that has been plaguing me for a while. There is a vertical line seemingly a single pixel wide that changes colour depending on the other surrounding colours:

I've researched the issue on the internet. Most of the advice tells you to replace the PCB that is aligned with the glitch on the opposite side of the TV set, which would be the PCB at the very bottom left of the following photo:

For good measure, I also replaced the adjacent PCB as well as the ribbons to no avail. I previously had a fault with the same TV where a much bigger vertical block was present on the left side of the screen, though I fixed it by reseating the ribbons on the opposite side as well as cleaning them.

Any general advice? Model number is TX-P50U10B.

I would say panel and the advice I would have given would have been try a clean and reseat which you've already done and not to expect any miracles.

Unfortunately there are little ICs embedded on the panel ribbon at the bottom which fail and that's the end result.

Annoying but still viewable but over time it'll probably continue to fail.

      Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
      by TrueSword88
      Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

      Hoping to fix...

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
      by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

      Panasonic Viera LC470EUN (SE)(M2) T-Con issue?
      by Ama Chur
After watching some youtube videos and checking some forums, I'm at a loss. With both ribbon cables connected, we have no image. With the left one pulled out, the screen is black and white, split down the middle. With the right cable removed, it is all black. Backlight is working fine and we have sound and can open applications. We are strapped for money right now and are hoping to repair whatever the issue may be. I think the TV was manufactured in 2012, so I'm aware that may not be possible. Edit: Found a single vertical line of blue pixels on the left side of the screen with one of the ribbon...

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
      by mrsith
      Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...
