Beeping on the prong connector is not good. You can test the small mosfets on the board for shorts. Look for the "30F132" parts.
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

P1ON3S mosfet has a short on SS board. My meter is beeping. So that's a SC, SS and SD board shorted. I'm going to see about sending the SC board and SD board back for replacements. At this point, I have gone thru 2 SC boards and 1 SD board. Perhaps, the panel is gone since these boards keeping shorting?

What location identifier is on the board for the fet? Q or D? I have a feeling that is a diode. Are there two legs marked A?

          Full part RFN10B3S location D022 , D021?

Looking at the board they will show short between the soldered legs but should test like a diode between the leg and metal tab

            It's D021. I see part TNPA5648AF SS board.

According to shop jimmy its TXNSS1RDUU. I don't see any marking on the legs.

Soldered leg to metal tab does not beep. I was testing leg to leg. However, I was told that I could test the SS board by testing SS11 prongs. I do receive a beep when testing that prong.

Download the datasheet for the part I mentioned hopefully you will understand it and see the legs are anode and tab is cathode. Anode to anode will show short if that is how you measured it.

Depends if it constantly beeps or a brief beep and maybe starts charging or increase in value on the meter. I have to hit the sack. A bit tough typing on a phone in the outback.

Hello! I am currently testing the SS board. When I first touch probes to SC11 prongs, my meter beeps in continuity mode. If I re-test these probes, I do not always get a beep. Testing soldered legs (location DO 51, 52, 53) my meter beeps. I am testing the SS board tnpa5648af.

My new SD board has arrived. The SC board will be here Tuesday. I believe, if I'm testing the SS board correctly, that the SS is short.

Should I order a new SS board? I am on the verge of buying a new TV. I may still purchase it. However the thought of throwing this TV out, if the panel is working, does not sit well.

I have attached a pic of me testing DO51. Looking at Moreno's original pictures. I believe I am doing this correctly.

Probe to metal tab, probe to soldered leg...no beep. Probe to soldered legs...beep.

All those are diodes and what you described is normal. Doesn't sound like the ss11 is shorted either

Sorry but I am confused. On page 3, Moreno post 3 pics of himself testing probe to metal tab, probe to soldered leg. He also shows probe to both soldered legs. What is that testing? What should be the result when conducting both test in continuity/beep mode?

Well I've already discussed on this page what to expect. The other post he states how to test diodes D locations and igbts Q locations. So the first image is a diode and the second is a transistor.

Re: TCP60ST50 7 blibking red lights

Got it! I just noticed the D and Q on Moreno's pictures and on the individual boards. I also was confused when he said it would beep if short. I've been testing each igbt and diode with probe to metal tab and probe to to soldered legs. No wonder its beeping. I do feel silly but have learned a lot.

With that being said SS is fine. I also went back and tested my first SC board. It also seems to be ok.

I am now going back to test the SD and SU boards. I know I have 1 bad SD board but am curious to see if the original boards were actually bad now that I understand how to test these boards properly.

Is there any other locations I should test on either the SC or SS boards beside the diodes and igbts?

Thank you so much for your help!!! Y'alls expertise has been invaluable.

To be honest I'm not familiar with this series. If you know how to check all the transistors and diodes for short and there are none chances are they're ok.

Ok. Well I tested originally SC, SD, SU and I'm not getting any shorts. Something is wrong. Perhaps the panel is bad.

These boards are currently out of the tv but during pin testing the resistance was pretty low according to TW's boards.

After testing the replacement SC, which arrives Tuesday, I will put everything back in and fire up the tv. I can only hope it works.

                                      Thanks again

Re: TCP60ST50 7 blibking red lights

My ST50 is working!!!! I can't say thank you enough to TW and Moreno.

I received the new SC board and tested it for shorts. Everything checked out. I installed the SC without the buffers and did the SC50 test.

The TV came on, green light on board, solid red led. I then tested and re-tested the new SD and SU boards for shorts. Those also checked out.

After re-connecting everything, I fired up the TV and there was the beautiful picture I've been missing. I did have to adjust the ribbons on the SU board a few times but now I'm back in business.

I could not have done it without this forum and to think I almost threw my plasma out because a "professional" told me the panel was bad.

Just a quick question. I believe, I read, that the firmware should be updated. I am about to do that. I also intend to purchase replacement screws and washers. Is it ok to leave the back off the TV until the hardware arrives?

                                        Thanks again!!!!

Good job buddy!! Thank you for trusting me when i said the panel was not shorted!!!

You can leave the backcover from the tv , thats not a problem. But why would you want that? Put it back on and just use 4 screws so it stays in place.

I would definitely use new screws with lockwashers. Watch out that they are not to long and tighten them good. Tighten all screws on all boards ( Not to hard ).

Again , good job! Im glad the tv works.

I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

Here`s a quick ME Firmware cleaning guide.

The guide is basic, its main goal is to show you how to use intel FIT,its highly recommended that you all follow the guide posted at win-raid

(The attached FIT version is 11, if your ME Firmware (FW) is not 11.0.*.* follow the win-raid guide. Use the tools version for your ME FW, for example: ME System Tools v9.1 For systems running ME v9.0 - v9.1)

A video, software (intel FIT) and practice bios are all included. I`ll post a better video and more advanced guide at a later date.

Christmas lights - Something I am doing wrong

                                            Hi:

i am trying to repair this Christmas lights from my parents. They are incandescent lights, no led lights.

I have tried with 12V a 24V small lights that I found in Aliexpress but is obvious that are not the right ones. They last microseconds connected. Do they blow because of Amps or Volts?

If I measure the Amps in the string........it's only 90mA. If I measure the Volts in the "green box"......it's between 0 and 190V, but doing a little bit of maths from the number of bulbs in series.......it's only about 6V per lamp.

                                            Could...

                                            Hello,

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2

This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

Does not turn on, lights 3 of the 4 LEDs and turns off and stays like this, presses the power and repeats.
I saw that the room LED lights up only when the screen is connected, so quiet.

We have all the power supplies, even processor, 1.8V
One thing I found strange, it has a very low resistance in the Vcore is giving 1 Ohm , work with notes and such, I know that this is normal in some processors but with this resistance only take video card so found it strange.

I suspect that there may be some leak in the processor.
Anyway, when I press the power, it...
