    LG 60 Plasma 60PA6550 white'ish screen & shut down

My LG 60PA6550 UF model will power up and then show a white'ish screen and then shut down after 1-4 seconds.
Once in a while it will stay on and I can make out the backgroud of the screen. See pics.

I replaced the main logic control board but issue still there.

Some mentioned the C802 cap which shows indentation in center. No sure if this is normal. see pics.

All other caps appear fine and not bulging.

I was thinking on replacing the C802 cap and then replacing the Main board.

But before I do this, I was hoping somebody had the exact symptoms and corrective action.

It appears that the white'ish screen can be cause by a few different components/boards.
    Thanks.

I think.....this might be a Z-SUS problem....I am open to correction from the more experienced...

I too would suspect the Z-sus, Thats just the way that capacitor is manufactured, most likely made of two components then encased in its coating. Its not that common for that type of cap to be bad, but it does happen

Re: LG 60 Plasma 60PA6550 white'ish screen & shut down

Sorry i can't start a new thread as new member.
I purchased a broken plasma TV LG 60PS60, it has a 2 inches vertical line.

When i opened the TV, i found a flex ribbon wire on the bottom of the TV under the vertical line WAS DISCONNECTED (I think this TV has been brought to the repair place and they disconnected this line)
See Image #1, #2, #3 when the flex wire is DISCONNECTED from buffer board. The 2 inches vertical line is not solid black (it has little green, white, black dots)

When I tried to connect this ribbon wire to the buffer board, i got the whole section in the middle of the TV (about 2 feed wide) became solid black.
See image #4 when i connected the flex wire (showing the whole middle part of the screen became solid black, seems to me the whole bottom middle buffer board to shut down).

Do I need to replace the bottom middle buffer board, T-CON board, or i have a bad Panel ?

        Thank you for your help.

1% bad board, 99% bad panel.

I agree that you might have a bad panel.

I have a question regarding two boards. 1. Main Logic Control Board and 2. Main Board

              1. Main logic Ctrl board has green LED which blinks 4 times. 2 short blinks + 1 long blink + one short. What is this diagnostic code?

              2. Main Board includes one solid "ON" Red LED. Is this normal?

That's normal with that steady red light and the green too is normal....the problem I think is the y-sus or the buffers on the y-sus...

Well, its not the Z-SUS board either. Next Y-SUS board. I'll see if I can get it cheaper on ebay.

Well,...Finally got to replace the Y-SUS board and,.....it fixed the issue. Now I will be selling back the main and Z-SUS board on ebay.

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                        by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                        by Alicat
                        Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                        Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
                        by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                        by smic717394
                        Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

Panasonic Plasma screen interference on left half of screen
                        by Zelek11
My Panasonic Plasma model P55VT50 has started displaying "interference" on just the left half of the screen only (left when facing the screen). Sometimes it's concentrated in about the first 30 seconds after startup, then disappears. Other times it's fine at startup and then randomly does it later on. When it flashes the interference it's very quick and doesn't stay on the screen unless it flashes repeatedly in a row.

This image is a screen shot from a video I took. This is an example of the interference at its worst. Often the interference is much smaller...
