Vizio P502ui-B1e stuck in boot cycle

I have a Vizio P502ui-B1e that will power up to display the V logo on the screen and the indicator light in the lower left corner fades down like it is supposed to but never completes. Eventually the back light will turn off and it restarts itself and the cycle continues.

Remote control only has effect to turn on the TV if it has been unplugged. But if it is in its cycling pattern has no effect and cannot turn it off. Although I can push the VIA button and it seems to send the TV into the restart mode immediately.

Visually inspecting the main board the tuners coaxial connection appears misaligned. The previous owner had recently moved and the TV still have the movers sticker on the back so I suspect it took a blow that bent it.

Could the resetting issue be the TV's self diagnostics detecting a fault and then shutting down and restarting? Is there a way to isolate the tuner from start up?

    Thanks

I have seen tons of vizios do the same thing. Its usually corrupt or bad eeprom chip. You can find them on ebay.

Thanks for the reply. When I search for the eeprom I get references to the non "e" version of this TV (P502ui-B1). When I asked Shop jimmy if the same eeprom would work on either TV if the motherboard is the same and they said they couldn't help me. Does anyone know if the flashed eeprom is compatible with both versions?
        Thanks.

I have a Vizio P502ui-B1e that will power up to display the V logo on the screen and the indicator light in the lower left corner fades down like it is supposed to but never completes. Somewhere around 15 seconds the back light's will turn off and in about 1 minute TV restarts itself and the cycle continues.

Remote control only has effect to turn on the TV if it has been unplugged. But if it is in its cycling pattern has no effect and cannot turn it off. Did replace the chip and did not solve this particular issue. I know it is a main board issue but not sure if power issue or Bakelite circuit on main board. Did notice big black heat sink does get pretty worm after a few minutes with TV in its recycle mode.

the black heatsink on mine also gets pretty warm. i can still rest my hand on it while taking measurements without burning it tho. can you take voltage readings for the connector on the LED driver board CN805 while the backlight is on, and also in standby mode? thanks
