    Lc-60le550u no picture

Ok so I followed the thread on the sharp save by pulling side driver on the 70 and but my 60 does not have side driver board. As u can see there is no board on the side it's just the tabs with ic. Any ideas ?

Wait....yours is a 60" and by removing the tabs on the bad side of the panel you managed to get the tv fully working again?
That's damn good news as I just picked up a 60" with that problem, read up about it and thought that trick only worked on the 70"

I was wondering why this wouldn't work seeing as removing the board on the 70" is just removing the drivers essentially.

Wait, there are drivers on both sides of the 60", right ?

I thought there are only drivers along the bottom of the 60 that are some how "multiplexed" to handle the horizontals and the verticals. The "mystery" is how / which tabs are doing what in the 60 BUT if there are tabs then they can be removed... although it is wasn't obvious what the is being removed... just the connect on panel or "both ends" (the other end goes where?)

              Re: Lc-60le550u no picture

my Drivers were bad on the left side of lcd screen. I disconnected the left side of t con and got the tv back on just like they showed on the 70 " thread. Started tearing it apart but after I tore apart I learned there was not a panel like the 70" only the driver tabs. If u will look when u take the bezel u will see them taped down. There is 2 driver panels on each side on the bottom (for left and right on lcd)
There is tabs with drivers on the top, bottom and sides. I think the plug u disconnected on the 70" is actually is a printed circuit board in the lcd on the 60" if u look at the picture I posted that is on the left side of panel.

Now the question is how long it will last

For clarification in the previous pic it looks like what I would call the "tabs" are still there so did you instead remove the driver ic from each of those three tabs ?

First, make sure you have isolated that it is the drivers on that side . Once u do that u pull off the whole tab from the led panel not just the ic.

Thanks for clearing that up. Thought I was getting one of these but as it turns out it has failed led(s).
