    Hi vinceroger69,

Thanks for the video link!!! Looks very interesting so using this info went to Google Play and found https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...m.remotefairy4

As previously mentioned, like to read the user guide/man so Googled. To date have not found either but did find "10 best TV remote apps for Android" by JOE HINDY

"Anymote Universal Remote (Smart IR Remote) [Price: Free / $6.99] Smart IR Remote is a go-to option for a lot of folks, despite how expensive it is comparatively speaking. It boasts support for over 900,000 devices and more is added on a frequent basis. What makes this remote interesting is that it’s not just for televisions. You can also control AC or Heating appliances, DSLR cameras, video game consoles, smart home equipment, set top boxes, and more, which a dedicated layout of controls for each category depending on what it is. It works quite well as long as your device is compatible and especially if you have a lot of smart devices."

      Diah,

"...Smart Remote, its handle allot of TV brands , projectors, HIFI, etc. and others home electronic sets, by TV all had access to service menu, and special service menu too."

Any tips on using it with TVs?

      Thanks again for your suggestions!!!

Re: Samsung main board BN97-05375B 0078 EEPROM Reset?

Started this as a "Learning Project" and really appreciate everyones help!!!

While I have little experience with digital LED TVs have repaired a number of PCs.

In most cases (except for "Bad Caps"and "Blown Power Supplies") the problem has been corrupted software (all these PCs had Windows) so am asking is this a RF Quartz defect hardware problem as mentioned by Diah or corrupted software causing a loop?

Beginners Question: All my friend wants to use this LED TV for is watching videos and viewing photos. Can this be done if there is a RF Quartz defect hardware problem?

Am guessing Yes if the over air station scan is not used.

Also appreciate any tips/suggestions setting up Samsung LED TVs for watching videos and viewing photos.

Thanks again to everyone for your help!!!

            victor_cj,

            Problem Connecting M_E_SCL and M_E_SDA

After connected M_E_SCL and M_E_SDA plugged in TV and Standby Lite came on 1 time then nothing and Power On Button did not work.

Removed M_E_SCL to M_E_SDA wire and when plugged in Standby Lite came on and Power On Button worked so fortunately there was No damage.

Rewatched Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDzOSdfA41s M_E_Reset and M_E_SDA were connected for the samsung smart TV D5700 eeprom reset.

Rechecked the BN97-05375B 0078 main board with a magnifying glass but did not find a M_E_Reset hole.

            Appreciate help!!!

In this case you need a eeprom programmer.

                victor_cj,

As mentioned looked at BN97-05375B 0078 main board very closely.

Am wondering if CN901_DEBUG (photo attached) is the EEPROM Reset is on this Main Board?

                Appreciate comments

CN901_DEBUG is for UART communication, it is used to upgrade firmware factory level.

hello fellow peers, scholars, and potential saviors...
..after much searching for particulars about my problem with no luck, I thought to hijack this thread because the last post is just the segue to where I have wandered...

                    I have connected my PC to CN901_DEBUG out of desperation because of a firmware upgrade gone bad ( last thing displayed after reaching 100% was something like "unit will now power off for three seconds" ) - interestingly I discovered the need to set terminal baud rate to 38400 and the output is;
                    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                    *MAIN
                    COLD Start
                    watch dog enable
                    LAST Power on
                    Start B Power Detect
                    Release MIPS

                    Hello A1
                    00442813
                    unsupport compress
                    set sound mode error1!!
                    Clock NG
( then 'power up jingle' plays, STBY LED 6 flashes, then start again from *Main )
                    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-essentially an infinite bootloop, minus backlight or sign of logo pixels, every 18 secs
-pauses after "COLD Start" while M_E_SDA shorted to M_E_SCL
-pauses after "unsupport compress" while M_E_SDA shorted to VCC or GND
-different board# than OP, but pictured holes/silkscreening/ICs are a match
-data on thumb drive used was since verified 100% against re'loaded FW from Samsung
-backlight illuminates when powered up, main board detached from PS

Would anyone venture to guess if there is recovery mechanism built into the initialization environment, much like found in routers - or is that just too impractical (fantasy) ? - only reserved for devices costing a fraction of what these command

Should I presume the flash is corrupt and not just the eeprom ? Or can the latter have such a dramatic effect ?

I'd really prefer the satisfaction of solving rather than board swapping - especially since there wasn't any 'problem' in short time since adopting it, that is until a fateful desire to update - if I can even be referred to the appropriate forum/resources, that too would be kind

                    -cheers

With the Samsung I have it's SDA and RESET that are bridged whilst the TV is powered on.
This I believe reloads the EEPROM data from the NAND, however if the NAND is faulty then that needs replacing for the procedure to work.

I concur that it requires a total boot to have the required functionality to perform eeprom regeneration, factory reset, enable ex-link port, etc - so whether caused by bad flash or fatal eeprom glitch, the problem can only be solved externally ( or with factory procedure/inside information ) - I will report back anything I learn that might help others - meanwhile thank you both for replying to me

                            Hoping someone here could possibly help. I have a few questions in regards to compatibility with main boards. But I'll give a quick short run down on what's going on first;

I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01

Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...

                            Hello!

I just got a Samsung TV model HG75EJ690UB 75" and 4K. It is a hotel TV, with a slightly different version of the Tizen operating system than the TVs at home.
Being a hotel, it is covered in many functions. With the service menu I can unlock some, but not others. For example, I can't install apps like Netflix etc...
The fact is that it seems that I can replace the main by a, say, "normal". I think the one that corresponds is NU7105, ref BN94-02635. At work, which is a convention center and a hotel, I have many TVs from 55" to 85" that...
