Hi I have a 50" LG 50PN6500, I found next to my dumpster and took it in to find it powers on has sound but the picture is bad. Any signal on any input is showing up but in just rainbow pixels and blackness, so I opened it up pulled the y-sus and z-sus board and soldered most joints that I thought were suspect cold solder, it did not fix it. I'm currently at work but will attach pictures once i get home, there are no lines and no missing sections the entire display is doing this. I'm going to check the voltage and make sure they are at the correct levels also once i get home. Any input is greatly appreciated, i know i don't have pictures yet, but I think i was pretty descriptive. Pics in a few hours.

Re: LG 50PN6500 Rainbow pixels
Yes known as quite a few things, depends on the panel manufacture. Heres a few.
Lg: Ysus=Ysustain Xsus-=Xsustain
Samsung: Ysus=Ymain Xsus=Xmain
Pioneer: Ysus=Ydrive Xsus=Xdrive
Panasonic=: Ysus=SC Xsus=SS
Known as alot of things but does the same job. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Anyone Doing So Will Be Banned Instantly !

Re: LG 50PN6500 Rainbow pixels
So I have examined the coils solder joints, they are good, now if there are shorted components, is there any I should focus on? I see no scorch marks, caps are not swollen, everything visually checks out so I don't know where to start, any advice would be great but if it's not something that I can pin point I will just buy a replacement board since it's only $24.99Comment

anyhow i couldn't t read anything else
the backlight is on strong and the screen does not get dark or very dark but no pictures
the mainborad feels a bit hott on the black part i test it to 52 degree's against 34 to 40 on the rest of it

by valvashonThe 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it... -

Hello,
would someone kindly tell me if the TV panel has dead pixels problem?
I attached the photo, if you zoom it you can see the several dots...
Thanks in advance

by skyvalley99Recently my VT65 has started exhibiting sparking/misfiring pixels, it manifests as sparkling white pixels in the black area if there's brighter pixels in the same horizontal area (e.g. the smart viera boot screen, white credits on a black background).
On inspecting the screen closley you can see pixels misfiring in the upper area of the screen at all time, it just gets lost in normal content.
I've tried (without success) replacing the P/SS/SC board (refurbished boards) and re-calibrating the VSUS (including setting it to HIGH) but none has made a difference.

Hi friends,
I am trying to take good quality pictures of rather large desktop motherboards for a project I'm working on. I had a brilliant idea of scanning them with a flatbed scanner I have but it only focuses on the bits of the board that are flush to the scanning glass. And the through hole components tend to lift the main board from the scanning glass. Everything else just looks out of focus. So it seems that that option wont run.
I have been capturing the images with my iPhone 11 and it's okay but wont capture the whole board. I have to grab it in sections and... - Loading...
