LG 47LN578V left hand column of screen flickering darker at regular rate

My LG 47LN578V developed an annoying 'feature' yesterday.
An approximate 30cm (1 foot) column on the left of the screen consistently darkens, then returns to the same level as the rest of the screen at a rate of just under 0.5 Hz.

The picture quality of fine just the light level.

This is the set which had a full led backlight replacement done at Xmas and knowing how the circuit works it obviously isnt that!

    Thoughts ?

It appears to be the left 1/4 of the screen but the whole column from top to bottom.
Do you mean the led back light as it cant be that due to it running horizontally and in 2 strings which would mean the whole string would dim which would be visibile accross the whole of the screen.

as i know the 2 LED strips are at the bottom of the Panel, each Strips had 4 groups they are separated by dimming. this what i know on 47 of LG LN series, if yours are 2 strips only at behind the Panel, then you have right.. however to be sure 100% please disable the ECO at setting, Auto Contrast OFF, and the backlight put it on level of 50. and watch if this issue happen again.

other wise its need too to resitting LVDS and Ribbon cable as those could be the issue too.

ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While
              by reessi
              Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

              by arctor
Hi, I have this tv a LG 55UH661V that show flickering images and lines. I tried to take off one at time the right and the left ribbon cable and put the tape for ask the pin…but nothing working. Or I stop to have picture or still flickering. Someone can help me to understand what pin I have to mask? What I notice the buffering board, the flat cable becomes very hot, I don’t think it s normal, I’m talking about the orange flat cable soldering on the buffering board, both side are very hot. I give you the photo with both the ribbon cable on and a photo with the right off and with the lefts...

Cutting the jumper on Samsung TV to solve the flickering
              by Adenitz
              Hello to all,
I have just seen this YT video about solving flickering issue on SAMSUNG TV. Reading many comments it seems this works.
But I wonder what is done here and how this solved the issue. I'm not able to find the schematics so cannot explain to myself.
Few years ago I had a flickering problem on one monitor in some factory which I managed to solve by inserting UPS between monitor and power outlet. I also notice on this occasion the flickering was gone if I put insulation tape on the power plug like shown in the attached picture to remove connection with the PE conductor...

HP ENVY HP 13-aq1013dx - screen flickering black if using touchpad or external mouse

This device came in due to the screen flickering if you use the touchpad or external mouse. It will flicker black when this occurs. If you use the touchscreen, the behavior does not appear. Also, if connected to external monitor, the external monitor is not affected by the flickering. I did a good amount of research on this, and concluded that it is due to the display driver. HP does not offer Windows 11 drivers for this model so I got the replacement drivers direct from Intel. I installed them and the problem...

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen 10 - Flickering Screen
              by Ado02
              Hello everyone,

We recently replaced the OLED screen on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Gen 10. After about a month, the replacement screen began to flicker. Initially, updating the Intel® Iris® Xe graphics driver resolved the issue for about a week. However, when the problem recurred, updating the driver again had no effect.

The flickering only occurs once the system reaches the Windows login screen. Interestingly, if we disable the Intel GPU driver or connect the laptop to an external monitor, the flickering stops. We have tried installing two different replacement screens,...
