So if you do not have other boards connected to the power supply board, what dcv do you get on the connector? We need to find out if something is loading down the power supply or not.Never stop learning

Re: vizio E320-a1 no power
the voltages i get are with no connections to the power supply. Some background, we recently had a thunderstorm and i lost 3 tvs,2 routers,a modem, and stereo system. i thought i would start here to salvage what i can.
do i need to plug the connectors back in and re read the dcv?

Re: vizio E320-a1 no power
If you tested the power supply board without the main board connected then you should have the 12V (this is an always on 12V). The 5.2V is generated by the Buck converter IC9351 that steps down the 12V to make 5.2V.
The power supply board is on $17 from SJ so it will be more practical to replace the power supply board first.Last edited by budm; 05-09-2016, 11:03 AM.Never stop learning

Re: vizio E320-a1 no power
That means there is a chance that the Main board especially around the HDMI circuits are damaged too. You need to do real close visual inspection.Never stop learning
