Hey why not contact them Bud, we have enough evidence here to wipe the floor with Lg and any other one. They know and stated it would be a fucking issue if the Leds are pushed to that level, and well now we can clearly see its affect.

Also most sets are failed just after a year, when the "warranty" runs out seems way too unfair and deliberate.

Thought I would add to this thread. I just got a 55LN5790 in yesterday (salvage TV so it had already been trashed). It would flash briefly at startup then the LEDs shut down. Anyway, I opened it up to find a similar failure to what budm posted here. The diffuser was so badly damaged, that changing the LEDs wouldn't have even been an option.

Can you post images of the damage please ? We need the images as more evidence.

I didn't even think about taking pictures at the time. Just saw this thread and it made me think of it. It was very similar to what budm posted to start the thread though. Catastrophic failure. I imagine it created quite the smoke cloud when it happened. Anyway, the remainder of the TV already got hauled off this morning.

Here's the tag off the back. Same series. Manufactured 2 months after the one budm posted.

Hmm, not very good at all Lg.

New Optics Panel in the 55". Assuming the 47" was as well.

                    by electomech-fixer
                    Hi all,
I came across this very active forum with knowledgeable folks on electronic circuits and components, while google searching for the details of my burnt IC marked 7603 in Intel NUC board. I joined this forum today and this is my first post here.
I recently got an Intel NUC 10i5 and had installed Linux Mint and was using it for about a month when it died suddenly and did not power up after that.(Power Adaptor is ok). When I opened the NUC , there was a burnt IC marked 7603 (and ILCB in second line). I am unable to find the details/datasheet of this IC. I will be grateful if...

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
                    by Pipolups
                    Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

Zotac GTX 260 burnt component - can anyone identify?
                    by dicky96
                    Hi guys
This Zotac GTX 260 had a high side MOFET on one Vcore VRM phase short circuit Drain to Gate (Not short Drain to Source)

This has burnt out the drive IC L3E (ADP3110A) and also an SOT-23 device very close to the driver IC. According to the PCB markings 'Dxxx' this is likely to be a diode.

Basically the VRM has 4 phases, two powered from one 6 way connector and two powered from the other 6 way

I would assume each pair of phases are basically identical, the burnt out phase has SOT-23 devices WW1 plus the burnt one.

                    The good phase...

                    by THE GTC
So I use this TV daily as a second monitor for my PC or my Playstation - at one point a few months back I tried to fix the problem - but in the process, I figured out something that works so I haven't posted this for awhile. It is an annoying trick to have to do though, so I decided to post about it to see if anyone could spot what's wrong. It baffles me because it works on it's own half the time.

When I first got this TV, I was told it wouldn't turn on, and of course I did the flashlight test, and the image was there. Also, the red LED on the front indicated that it had power (it...

                    Precision 5550 LA-J191P No Power, Burnt ISL9538
                    by swimllamaswim
I picked up this Precision 5550 to fix up recently, and found that the ISL9538 chip was burnt on pin 14 (CSIN). The two left side Type C ports negotiate at 20v, and the right side one only negotiates at 5v. I also found the EMI protection diode, DT35, was burnt on that side. I pulled the ISL9538 off, checked for any other obvious shorts, repaired the pad, and put a new one on. Now, I still do not get power, and there is a rapid clicking sound from somewhere on the board that I can't pinpoint.

Here are the voltages measured at that chip:

To note, DCIN at Pin 17 is low,...
