Hey so I unhooked the ADJ wire from the plug and the tv works fine not sure how safe it is to have the wire unhooked though :s T.RSC8.78 is the mainboard number. The only weird thing is the volume seems really low and I am not sure why? Maybe that ADJ wire has something to do with that.Comment

let me clarify a little better basically I have everything hooked like it should be so I am not jumping power from the powerboard the power is coming from the mainboard and telling my lights to come. I unhooked the ADJ wire because its almost like its telling the mainboard to shutdown. Not sure if that helps at all.Comment

ADJ wire is the command signal to control how bright the backlights will be, so when you disconnected the backlights is probably be running at full level, nothing to do with sound.Never stop learning

This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors
I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using
I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed
The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well
I going to let it run for several days before I remount back on the wall next to the... -
Ok.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.
