    Little help with lg plasma 50pk540 please?

    Hi yall. I have a bit of a problem with my lg 50pk540. It powers up and atays on but this mess is all i get instead of a picture. I hope the pic i attached shows up. Thanks in advance for any help.

      Looks like multiple problems starting with lower buffer board or whacked ysus.

          If its multiple problems but still powers up, Could that be a lightning hit? Or one of the kids knocking the tv over and not telling me? With the power board good should i start replacing the other boards or just sell the power board and junk the rest?

                      The up and down blur follows where the lg logo bounces around the screen. The wole screen blur is when i hit any button and the lg screen saver goes away.

                          I've seen something similar on another lg plasma. It was the mosfets on the buffer boards. Post pics of each board inside your set.

                                              You see 2 resistors marked -Vy and vsc.

                                              Please measure across this resistors and post the voltage.

                                                      Saved this beast from the landfill this weekend.
                                                      Manfactured July 2013 in Mexico.

                                                      I love working on plasma TVs.
                                                      Its been a while but I was lucky enough to find 2 this week.

                                                      The TV powers on and stays on but no picture. Havent checked for sound yet.
                                                      No bulging caps although the insides are pretty dusty and the boards are discolored from many years of high heat.
                                                      Will start troubleshooting tonight.

                                                      I have a samsung QN82Q70RA powers on then powers off. Using some info on the interwebs. I disconnected main board from power supply and backlight shows blue and stays on indicating power supply is good. So next I unplugged one on the lvds cables that connects to screen( I think other side goes to tcon board?) i can get a blue screen and if I press the picture button on the remote i get rain sounds and birds chirping. A lot of videos suggest using kaptan tape to cover the clock signals, but I've been unsucessful there.
                                                      So I thought I'd just quit messing around and come to the best site...

                                                      Hey guys, I recently acquired a Hitachi 55HDX99 plasma TV that doesn't work. The TV powers on and eventually goes into standby which is indicated by the blue power led changing to orange. If I plug a VCR into it to keep it awake, I can feed an audio source in and it will play the sound no problem. The volume controls on the TV work as well so it is obviously just a display problem.

                                                      I found the Hitachi service manual online which is also hosted on tom66's manual archive. Compared to the Panasonic service manual I had for the last plasma I worked on, this one is underwhelming to say...

                                                      I'm stumped on this guy, so wanted to see if anyone has any further ideas:

                                                      Intro:

                                                      This is an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-55M1 with unknown prior history (bought "as-is" on eBay). It charges the battery and powers on from both AC adapter and battery, so I think this rules out main power issues.

                                                      Upon attempt to boot, it will "reboot" (meaning powers down and then powers on again) only once, and then stays stuck in a status of lights on / no post / no monitor. Powering on with fn+esc maxes out the fans on first boot attempt,...

                                                      I have to unplug it from the wall and replug to get it to turn back on but then shuts off

                                                      No blown caps
                                                      I searched for this model but nothing comes up...
