    Panasonic 50" TH-P50V10 7 flashes

    Hi all.
I have done a few searches on the forum and read a few posts but still at a loss on what to try next.
Turn on the tv the green flashes fast for a few seconds then the red flashes 7 times.
I started on the SU / SD / SC isolation with the jumper.
SC only - turned on but squeel noise from the SC board.
    SC + SD - 7 flashes
SC + SU - worked for a few seconds then pop and now 7 flashes :/

I have gone through the pocket manual i found on a link with the tests and got these results

    SU
    Pin2 + VF GND 14.1 ohm

    SD
    pin9 - VF Gnd 34.1 ohm

    sc
    sc42 vf + pin 3 2.95k
    " " + pin 5 5.51k

So as the manual says the SD and SU is bad and the SC is ok.
But why did it pop the SU board.

Im not an expert tech but know enough to see me through everyday life

WOuld someone have any suggestions what to try / test or replace.

    thanks in advance.

So even though it made a noise did the TV stay on with no error blink when you isolated the buffers and jumped SC50?

It stays on when i isolate the buffers and jump sc50 but makes the squeel noise and no red flashes

Hard to say but I think my G10 may have done something similar and I blew up my buffers in the process of repairing that board.

You definitely need buffers and bad buffers will trigger 7 blink as too sc but if it does not with it bypassed it should be ok.

the lower spec model buffers would work but they'll be minus the heat sinks.

Actually it was a G15 I had. Very close to the G10 except it has LAN and thinner so the heatsinks on the SC are a lower profile.

thanks heaps for your input. IUs there anything i can test ior replace on the SC board as a preventative maintenance, i dont want to order 2 new buffer boards and it pops them both like it did in the test. cheers

I'm not sure. I'm working on the fact that the safety ccts if the voltages go out of range it shuts down suggesting yours is ok.

I killed mine when I got frustrated with the board and bypassed the safety cct that's when mine blew.

Did you get this broken to fix or is it yours? Like the panel is not cracked or shorted?

Shorted panels can blow the buffers . Maybe running 1 buffer is a bad idea. I know I prefer not too.

this is out of that G15 thread, you see I mention SC was noisy on a sc50 bypass.

anyway, I'm not going to be exact on what exactly was faulty but have a fair idea.

                TPVAD -186.1 (- 185V Β± 2V)
                TPVe 135.2

MID is now 99.7V as predicted by Tom about 50% Vsus.

Removing electrical noise introduced by fan
                      by tony359
                      Hi all,

I am working on a sound processor, it tends to overheat so I fitted a fan inside. The fan is connected to the +15V of the PSU via a DC-DC converter based on the LM2596 to reduce the voltage to around 10.5V.

Unfortunately the analogue circuitry is picking up the noise from the fan in two ways:
                      1. The fan is close to the analogue section, the motor itself gets into the outputs so I'll have to move it somewhere else
                      2. Even with the fan running outside of the case, there is still some noise which is clearly going back to the processor via power line....

Onkyo TX-SR805 noise in one channel
                      by MegaZAC
Surprisingly enough, this receiver doesn't have the DSP chip issue. The HDMI board does not get hot, and sound over HDMI works fine.

Regardless of the input, the right channel has noise that is clearly noticeable even on average volume level. The only cases when there's no noise is when VCR input is selected (some tracks on the board are damaged, maybe that's why), or if HDMI input is selected but nothing plugged into it. In all other cases, even when no input is connected I still have the noise.

There's some logic behind it. As soon as I select an input I get only left...

Panasonic TX-L50B6B | High pitched noise and black lines
                      by oldmanhouse
Hi folks, I have an issue with my 7 year old Panasonic TX-L50B6B that has appeared within the last few days.

                      The symptoms are:
                      • A high pitched "buzzing" / "whining" noise coming from the TV when it is turned on. There is no noise during standby, and the noise persists with all AV connections removed.
                      • There are noticable horizontal lines in the picture. Upon closer inspection it looks like every few rows of pixels are dead/black.

Attached is a close-up of the picture in "test mode", to demonstrate the rows of black lines.

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Philips HTS8000 home cinema noise problem
                      by courtcircuit
                      Hello

I have since a long time a Philips HTS8010S/01 which has been old but was doing the job.

Since a few days, it starts by making a weird "static" nois when switches on for a few seconds to a minute and then works like a charm.
Noise loudly outputs from the 3 channels, even if no signal is sent by the controler.DVD to the subwoofer/amp unit.

I was thinking of a soldering that was starting to be damaged and that was only doing the job after a few seconds of heating, most probbaly on the power board
                      Removed each of tyhe boards
                      ...
