Lg 50pq3000 bootom half good image top bad

Ok, so somehow ive done this to my tv. It did have a different fault that was the control board. I replaced it it came on fine once. I turned it off then before rebuildi g i decided to resolder all the mosfets on the 2 sus boards. After putting it back together the screen looked like this.

I checked what soldering i had done and could not see any problems. The voltages are all still reading fine. Can anybody give me any pointers to what i may bave done wrong or what i have damaged?

I want to learn from my mistake and hopefully try to fix it if it is fixable. Cheers.

Exactly the same numbers yes. It came on fine at first till i meddled with it. After the fault happened i took the tcon of and i noticed a fault with it. A surface mount component on the back c295 was loose and touching c293 next to it.

Could that have cause this fault? I have since reflowed the original tcon after someone suggested on the last thread the his tcon had stopped working due to cracked solder. That tcon now works again aswell but the same fault is present with the screen

Is it possible i damaged the tcon ribbon cable that goes to the y drive? Is the cable reversible? They are quite firm to push in maybe i broke some connections?

Are you opening the plug catch before removing/inserting the ribbons??!!

There does not seem to be a catch on the ribbon from the tcon to the ysus. All the others have catchs

Ok some more images of the screen this time with auto gen jumper in and x sus disconnected. Top half of the screen totally blank. Does this suggest a faulty top buffer or a power issue? Does anyone have any ideas of what else i can check? Thanks.

This is the connector for the y sus ribbon.

                      The bottom ribbons have catchs

According to the service manual half picture is either caused by x. Sus board or faulty panel so maybe i should check that?

Macbook Pro A1989 - No image, working fine with external monitor
                          by Madoy104
                          Hi everyone,

I have a MacBook Pro A1989 that was likely exposed to liquid. It doesn't display an image on the built-in screen, but the screen is backlit (you can't see the Apple logo or any other elements when held up to light). The laptop provides 20V and 1.5-2A, and it works fine when I use it with an external monitor. Currently, the connector for the display (J8500) is disconnected. I'm writing to ask for help in diagnosing the issue. I've heard that when the J8500 is exposed to liquid, the processor pin responsible for the display might short-circuit, and I'd like to know...

EIZO CX270 - No signal but Backlight and Panel works, logo works, admin menu works. OSD doesn't. What?!
                          by vf fa
Hi, so i guess I´ll have to make a new topic here, as i browsed through hundreds of other threads but couldn't find a solution to my problem yet.

I got a EIZO CX270 from a friend. He said it doesn't work anymore and wont display any signal or take any OSD inputs. Well, as an aspiring photographer I couldn't say no, could I? Thought it was an easy game, replace a bad cap and have a working monitor. But nooope, it wasn't supposed to be this easy.

So let me start with the problem description. I'll try my best not to skip anything so this might get rather long.

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
                          by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Toshiba TV bad panel half screen dark - pull tabs or not?
                          by ashyt16
Hi fellas, I have a Toshiba 50u6863db (vestel crap) here belonging to a family member.
The TV was given me to repair (possibly) as it had developed a blank screen, just back lights and sound.

Upon further investigation it turned out one of her cats had sprayed on the screen as I could see it on the edge of the panel and tabs and it stank. Looks like it probably shorted the circuitry. I cleaned it up and still the same.

I initially suspected Tcon board as none of the test points were showing correct voltages. Tried removing one LVDS cable at a time, same result....
